Actually, no.
Of course, being bilingual is preferred, but not necessary. I know tonnes of people who speak only English and can still get jobs easily. Being bilingual in a great asset on a resume, but if your not bilingual it doesn't mean that you're blacklisted.

Like I said in the above statement, it isn't really an issue. If you're bilingual, great. If not, so what?
