It is true Michael Jackson was a great artist and some will miss him but this whole media frenzy over his death was way too much. Not too long ago Michael Jackson was thought of a drug abusing pedofile who did better in Arab in asian countries than he did in the states. True he was found not guilty and was making a comeback which I was glad to see, but this week long excessive coverage was a bit much.

Princess Diana didn't have this much coverage, If a sitting American President or a Sitting Canadian Prime Minister died I doubt he would get this much coverage.

Lets just get on with life, there's a lot of good out there and some bad things we need to take Care of.

Doesnt a thread along these lines keep it going though?...I say just ignore the media and articles and it will go away soon enough.

In the essence of the thread title...

How's the weather out there?
Anybody watch football yesterday?
I'm going upstairs and make a some Pina Colada, anybody want one?
I think I'll try to convince the GF to go shopping at the sex shop today. [drool]

The sick fuck is gone but unfortunately there are still plenty of kiddy diddlers out there...some who like Mikey the Molestor can buy their way out of trouble, and others who are willing to pimp their kids out to make a buck.

Indeed.... I was one of those people who gave the guy the benefit of the doubt. Sure the guy was twisted in the head and all screwed up, but I didn't think he was stupid enough to pull such a stunt with kids..... but apon stumbling apon this on TV last night, it certainly changes the whole look of exactly who Michael Jackson really was:

MICHAEL JACKSON: WHAT HAPPENED
http://www.cbc.ca/passionateeyesunday/f ... 20308.html

$1:
As Jackson's manager for nearly two decades, Bob Jones saw everything first hand. In his first interview on camera Bob explains how he worked to build Jackson's legacy, including devising the King of Pop moniker, through to Jackson's darker days, when he saw his boss's behaviour drawing increasingly adverse attention: "When you see something going wrong, you can tell the person, you shouldn't do that."

Probing into Jackson's past, Peretti meets one of the music supremo's oldest friends, Randy Taraborrelli, who explodes the myth that Jackson was beaten by his father. And it doesn't stop there, as Randy claims 'Wacko Jacko' was a construction - "a bizarre character for the media's consumption."

^ No video online which sucks, but when they do get it online, it's quite an interesting watch. They even showed the video footage of his secret bedroom within his bedroom filled with toys, dolls, etc. They also talked about the motion sensors that lead up to his bedroom where if anybody was coming, an alarm would sound in his room.

Oh and the arcade grappling hook machine you put coins in to get teddy bears that was loaded with $100 bills?

How about the fact that he was so far in the hole while owning the rights to so much? That money was going somewhere fast, and it was to pay off the families of the children he screwed around with, whom their parents were all for it for the most part, so long as they were compensated well.

Their children for a price. Jackson got away with it before, and again, and figured he was unstoppable. The only reason why he kept getting off was because eventually the children would without explination, not want to continue with the investigation..... due to families getting a big payout.

Hell they even had the kids describe the characteristics of Jackson's genitalia which indeed matched when they stripped his nasty ass down at the police station..... yet with all their evidence, if the victim doesn't come forward, it's a bit difficult to ensure the freak gets locked up.

And with Jackson having the goodie goodie look to the rest of the world and his fans, there was no stopping him.... and most will continue to believe his innocence, until one day, the kids actually decide to speak out about what happened.

I can't really enjoy his music or his accomplishments anymore then I can Jimi Hendrix, whom was actually someone who seriously beat women on a number of occasions, one with a brick, whom his buddies in the band hailed a cab for, gave a bunch of money to and sent her to the hospital after hauling Hendrix off her. That was a little tid bit I seen on my room mate's documentary he was watching a few years back. One of the guys in the band was spilling all the beans and described his role in those situations and how they did their best to cover up as much of Hendrix's assaults.

For me, when the music doesn't match the artist or the artist does horrible things, their music seems like a lie.... empty and I can not long respect or enjoy their music.

There's my rant.

But I agree with the hype in the media over Jackson, it's annoying. They'll go on and on about every little tid bit of his life for the rest of the year, and when they finally start to run out of crap to unload on us, it'll be time for the one year anniversary of his death...... and then we repeat it all over again. [drool]

However, creating more threads and continually keeping them going with more posts only contributes to this attention, as mentioned previously, lol.

Just like I have done. Oh well.... doesn't bother me that much yet.

You guys are correct in that making a thread about Jacko only makes this ordeal longer. I just got so sick of the national and international wailing and talk of
an American national holiday made me so ill( he is NOT Princess Dianna) it took a number of gin & tonics just to numb the nausia (not that I minded getting hammed) in good company.

Lets just let this drug addict pedofile fade away and blow away with the wind.

I think you make a lot of assumptions with little to no fact.

Why? Cause it's easy. He's a weird dude, brilliant, but strange.

To even assume that all his money was going to pay off families is ludicrous. Sure, the first family he settled with for 20 million, which is a drop in the bucket for a guy worth in excess of a billion.

Keep in mind, Michael was acquitted by a jury 14 times. After they heard all the evidence and testimony, a group of his peers came back guilty on all 14 charges. If the case was so cut and dry, you'd be assures people would lock his crazy ass up for a long time for screwing with these kids.

Michael is an easy target for greedy people. You cannot deny that. Rich people are generally targets, but throw in the fact that Michael loved children and was kinda strange, he was an easy mark for someone looking to make a buck. It's sad but true.

So. Paying out 20+ million, (that we know about) in 'hush money' doesn't count for anything eh? If I was accused of doing something that I knew that I was not guilty of doing I would spend everything I own and everything that I could borrow, to defend my name!!!

Easy to say sitting in your position.

Let's say that in the first case, the one he settled for 20 million, that he defended himself and won; just like he did with his most recent case.

You'd all think he was guilty anyways.

YES, VERY EASY TO SAY, SITTING HERE IN MY POSITION!!! I have been wrongly accused of doing 'things' in the past ( though nothing even close to as horrendous as child molestation), and did infact defend myself until the truth came out! I then sought and received the appropriate apologies and reparations from the accusers!

'He' didn't 'stay and defend himself', rather, he 'disappeared for 3 mos and then came back and paid out millions 'in hush money'. Explain why 'an innocent person' would do that!!!
