They can't claim shit if they're on the course without permission. Even if it's a public-open course it doesn't mean they can just wander onto it anytime they want to goof around.

Actually Mr.C. After viewing it a couple of times I gotta agree with your original assessment of it being a marketing gimmick. The focus was far too professional for this to be an "unscripted" event pulled off by a pair of practical jokers. Through zooming in and zooming out and through running, the "object" was always in frame and in focus.
I could be wrong but I don't think it's genuine.
