MESA, Ariz., Oct. 3 (UPI) -- The sight of an old man being hit by a truck in Arizona touched off a feeding frenzy among witnesses who allegedly stole the dying victim's groceries.

Not only were the man's groceries taken, but the only person who tried to help him also had his own bags taken.

Mesa police told KPHO-TV in nearby Phoenix that the scavengers could face theft charges if they are eventually tracked down.

The elderly victim was waiting for a bus Tuesday night when a pickup truck swerved off the road and plowed into the stop. The man was sent flying as were his bags of groceries.

As the truck sped off with a white plastic bag flapping on its grill, witnesses began grabbing whatever scattered food they could get their hands on. Boro Mitrovich, who was himself nearly struck, said he ran to help the man and had his bag disappear as well.

"One minute it was on the ground, the next minute it was gone," Mitrovich told KPHO.

It would appear that the people who did this were Mexican as they were all coming from a Mexican supermarket.

And the picture of the guy who was driving the truck says a thousand words and none of them are good.

He's got eyes, ears, a nose, and a mouth - all the characteristics of someone who'd do a hit and run.

That, plus the short hair and white t-shirt - it's a dead giveaway, lily.

So you're saying that Mexicans are unethical thieves?

No, you couldn't possibly be talking stereotypes, I'm sure you were just making some perfectly random comment that didn't mean a thing.

What words, Bart? I mean, if you didn't know a thing about this guy, what exactly would his pic say about him?

Oh jebus here we go!

Elderly woman robbed for bingo winnings after suffering stroke
Oct, 03 2007 - 3:20 PM

BURNABY/CKNW(AM980) - Police are looking for the culprits after someone robbed an elderly woman who had suffered a stroke.
Burnaby RCMP say after winning some money at a local bingo hall, the victim suffered a stroke and was taken to Royal Columbian hospital by emergency services.

At some point between leaving the bingo hall and arriving at the hospital her bingo winnings were stolen from her.

But crime isn't a problem and teaching morality is Ontario schools is.

No, just pointing out that the man wasn't robbed by a multicultural melting pot.

Now that you've gone there I'll add to this by noting that the person who helped the man and the girl who called for an ambulance were not Mexican.

The truth hurts. Too bad.

Stereotypes? ROTFL Lily, Mesa, Arizona is on COPS so frequently it defies explanation. If you want people to stop propagating stereotype then perhaps you need to visit Mesa and ask the dear folks to behave better.

It looks like a standard passport picture.

I will go so far as to say he looks "mean" because of the expression on his face. That and his head seems to be a funny shape. That's about it though.

He did however hit and run an old man at a bus stop and is now evading police. That gets you into the bastard category pretty easily.

Speaking of bastards, I hope the people who stole that food all choke on it.

I agree, but that's not what Bart was talking about.

Really? What was I talking about, Lily?
