Ever get in a heated debate here on CKA and find yourself wondering how to really hit home how meaningless a certain topic is to you? I know I have.

Hi there, I'm Blue_Nose, and I'm here to talk to you today about one of my all-time favourite overused and misused cliches - "I couldn't care less". It's that perfect little jab at someone's values that comes in really handy when trying to come across as a total douche. When simply ignoring a subject isn't enough to prove your complete disregard for its value, drawing attention to exactly how much you couldn't care about it is the perfect solution.

However, dozens of people here at Canada Kicks Ass choose to botch it up and state, "I could care less." While overlooked by most, a casual examination of this variant makes it clear that this is the exact opposite of the sentiment intended.

I know what you're saying: "Blue_Nose, I could care less about something so trivial, people know what I mean," but I urge you: please, care more about caring less. Being dismissive is stupid, but being dismissive and retarded in the same breath is really, really stupid.

I've noticed that, just thought it was a Canadian variant similar to "you're wearing blinders." We Brits say "you're wearing blinkers." (horse racing).
