I'm not sure if Canon 35mm lenses will work on DSLR, but I do know that you have to do a little bit of extra fiddling with cameras that will let you do that because the auto-focus on DSLR cameras obviously doesn't work with 35mm lenses, and they slightly increase the focal length of the lense, so you might get some barrel distortion.

I have very nice equipment and wouldnt want to see it go to waste. I will still use my old SLR for speciality shots, like using it with infrared film etc.
I don't think I ever really want to give up my 35mm SLR cameras (I have two: a Minolta SRT-202, and a Ricoh KR-05). Instead, I want to get something that's somewhere between an SLR and instamatic so that I can take spontaneous photos without giving up too much control of what my camera is doing.
