Anyone with me on this one? We need to go exploring and find new places- the Age of Exploration pretty much started the downward spiral for mystery on this great rock of ours. I suppose there is the Amazon and the oceans, but everything else pretty much leaves no surprises for us to find.
We need to look to the Universe if we want to keep the human spirit sparked with interest. The idle mind becomes agitated- and there's nothing scarier than billions of agitated creatures all vying for known (and limited) space.

Just because someone has done it doesn't mean it's boring and old news... doing something for the first time, be it a trip to somewhere else, or a new activity, means your own adventures and discovery.
That's the main reason I don't travel... I haven't even come close to doing all the amazing things I can do in little ol' Nova Scotia, so why skip over it all and travel around the world? To each his own, I guess.

I don't know about Earth, but I sure as Hell am bored with Canadian Winters - even the fairly mild ones we get in southern BC - Now if something could just happen so that my wife could retire, and I could get a late-model Chevy Duramax/Allison to pull my 5th wheel around....
