spikedriver - close, you in fact are thinking of ketchup.. we have the biggest heinz factory in canada apparently... I'm a strict enforcer of people buying heinz products over the no name brands in the grocery stores... many of my extended family grow the tomatoes that make our ketchup. so beware! and buy only heinz! ;)

kerry or no kerry, this is how half of a city of canadians makes a living. If Heinz were to close their doors tomorrow, this city would become one massive slum with half the people going on welfare. This factory is huge, and huge to our local economy. There are people with jobs from it from all over Essex County (which extends from Windsor, to Tilbury and there are even many farmers in Chatham who farm for Heinz). So, supporting heinz is supporting a significant number of fellow canadians (and yes, the kerry's, but sometimes you gotta bite the bullet to do the good thing).

Or really salty. Don't know why nobody else can make a good tasting ketchup, but yea, I buy nothing but Heinz.

Supporting Kerry is just a bonus, and not something I really think about when buying ketchup.
