Obviously I am new here, I am from Calgary, currently working in the Congo off the coast of Pointe Noire. Lot of downtime with my job so I needed something to keep me entertained for the next three weeks.

And that boat looks big. How they supposed to navigate with all those pipes in the way? Do they drive the thing backwards?

There are cameras located around the ship so the captain can see where he is going. And he has a bunch of radars/maps and GPS up on the bridge to help him locate shallow waters and other ships.

You are correct it's their offical language, they used to be a French Colony.
