Hello and good wishes,

My name is Terry Sako, resident of Indiana, citizen of the U.S. of A. I hope you will welcome me to your forum.

I am a United States Marine veteran, and a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. And to that end, I have written a novel about my experiences in the war titled—395 and a Wake Up. . . . “395” being the number days I spent over there as a Marine. “Wake Up” being the catch phrase that meant you were getting on a bird and going home.

Though I wrote the book as a work of fiction; the events depicted in the story are as I lived them. The dialog is authentic . . . and she reads like a flashback to the 60’s.

I sincerely hope you will take an interest and, at the very least, check out my home page at www.terrysako.com

There you’ll find excerpts and reviews.

Please feel free to offer any comment or critique.

Thank you.

I read some of the short stories and was impressed.

I like this one poem, short and to the point.

Vietnam Trick Bag

Jungle silence

shouts the enemies presence

I know Victor Charles squats--waiting . . . waiting

and he knows I know

Yet, down the trail I trip

step . . . listen / look . . . step

Sweat drip

A game I must play

As armchair warriors rule the day

Good stuff PDT_Armataz_01_37
