In stabilized societies such as one found in europe, migrations and visible immigration are not welcome. They never were despite the many such events that region has experienced historically.

Xenophobia is a universal condition. The presence of a large number of immigrants who are not assimilating but attempting to remold the social fabric will invite backlash anywhere and in any society.

Here in Canada that backlash is most obvious in Quebec, our most homogenious social group. Mutterings in TROC, manifest as laws against veils and headscarfs in Quebec.

As some here have accurately pointed out the main motivation of AL QAIDA is backlash against a western migration of what they deem as unbelievers and aliens.

I used that politically correct derivation of visible minorities---a term generally meaning non WASP.

I did not find any hate or call to violence in that clip except for the placards of demonstrators calling for murder of their critics.

The only intolerance was by MUSLIMS.

England hasn't been independent since 1707.
