No, it was an apt comaprison. It was Beck that turned it silly.

I equate us and Americans as family. Sure, we sometimes disagree and fight with each other, and you get the odd shmuck that holds a permanent grudge for whatever reason, but if/when the shit seriously hits the fan in either country ie; disaters, we do help each other.

As much as I like to take a run at "Bart's America" from time to time, just like I do with family if anyone NOT from around these parts runs down the US, I'm on 'em like a cheap suit.

Apparently, the President doesn’t understand - or chooses to ignore - the fact there are a few differences regarding U.S. relations with our neighbor to the North.

Canada isn’t controlled by a terrorist organization named Hamas.

Canada isn’t calling for the destruction of the United States.

Vancouver isn’t lobbing missiles over the border into Seattle.

The Canadian government isn’t funding suicide bombers who blow themselves up on U.S. buses and in U.S. pizza parlors.

Canada has taken the bold step of acknowledging that the United States has right to exist.

Canada’s Prime Minister probably doesn’t believe that the “Zionists” colluded with the Nazis to create the holocaust.
Other than that, he’s right. It’s exactly the same.

Netanyahu apologises to Turkish PM for Israeli role in Gaza flotilla raid

A statement from Netanyahu's office said: "The two men agreed to restore normalisation between Israel and Turkey, including the dispatch of ambassadors and the cancellation of legal steps against IDF soldiers.
