Well it's election time, i guess you can miss it its everywhere. What party to do plan to vote for and why and If you will not voting, why?

So far the CBC has done a fantastic job with their coverage, we will see if it continues.

I would like to point out that its indiscreet to ask who a person is voting for , thats why you vote in private in a booth.. If some one tells who on thier own thats different...The CBC has allway done a pretty good job at election time... LOL as thier jobs are on the line over it in a way....

I don't see anything wrong with asking people who they voted for. I don't get why some people get offended, people do not have to answer. Plus it really isnt a big deal, who you voting for...blah.

Most here who are involved in the political discussions have made it pretty clear who they're voting for anyway. Also, nobody has to answer if they don't want to and they don't have to say who they chose in the poll.

I would encourage everybody to check out all the parties and pay particular attention not only to what they are saying, but how they are wording it. It's also a good idea to look into the records of the leaders and your local candidates. None of these people are unknown quantities...they all have records of one sort or another. Those records indicate what they are likely to stand for when they get into the House of Commons.

Since we are very likely looking at a minority government this time around, what individual MPs stand for is likely to become very important. So are the smaller parties. Don't be afraid to vote for the Greens or the Canadian Action Party. Even if they don't win any seats, a strong showing by them will, or should, influence the elected members' actions on certain issues.

Don't be afraid to ask questions either. When somebody comes knocking on your door looking for your support, they should be able to answer your questions and address your concerns. If they can't, then they aren't likely to be able to do so in the House of Commons either.

Russia under Lenin was working untill he died, and Stalin had Trotski (sp) killed and took power. Lenin was a great man, Stalin was a nut.

Right out of the gate Mr. Martin stopped in Belleville long enough to crap on it this morning. He was supposed to make his big announcement about health care here, but decided to go to Cobourg to do it instead. Well, crap on you too Paul!

I dont understand how people can vote Liberal, well im sure there are a lot of good Liberal MP's, there are a lot of good ones in my area. But in this election we acualy have a good chance at a minority goverment. Which seems like a good thing for the oposition party but might be bad for Canada if the CP and the NDP plan to hold up every peice for legislation the Liberals role out.

 Yeah, they had some really great ideas - enslave the population and force them to live on rationed necessities. That's really great.

Socialism's goal is to create equal opportunity and standard of living for everybody. This is achieved by limiting opportunity for everyone and reducing everyone's standard of living to the lowest common denominator. Capitalism may not be perfect, but at least it provides greater opportunity for a greater number of people, and increases the standard of living for everyone, not just the ruling class.

Who you vote for is your choice, but I really have to question your grasp of reality.

Forgive me for asking, but I'm just curious - do you have a job, or are you on any form of social assistance?
