Hi to everyone old and new. I haven't had a lot of time to post recently but this is something I feel compelled to take the time for.

The federal government is getting set to let American military corporation Lockheed Martin collect data in the next Canadian census.

In my opinion this is completely UNACCEPTABLE. No other country in the world would allow this.
Full story here

I strongly urge all patriots young and old to write to their MP. A few short sentences requesting that US companies not be allowed to participate in collecting sensative Canadian data all all that is necessary along with a note to the effect that you will remember this at ballot time.

To make things easier here is a link to the email address of every MP.

MP email addresses

Now more than ever I think it is important for us to maintain and enhance our independence (real and perceived) from the US. We may be linked by trade and language but politically we should not follow what they are doing now.

Be well and take care.

BadAss, Rev and I are with you on this one, all the way. (see his post about "knawing on Rocks skull"). He (Rev) is also spreading the word in another site or two....

Lets get together on this completely unacceptable bullshit!, shall we?

Done... emailed Mr REED. The Cowichan Rep.
That is insane, might as well let the Chick that pushed the vote in Florida that helped Bush win, do the census.

It has Paul Martin's fingerprints all over it, Fixer. His plans for the Canadian military sound like something a South American dictatorship would come up with.

vivelecanada.ca has created an email form that lets you email Industry Minister Allan Rock directly about this and push for a Canadian co to get the job--sample email provided and everything.

See: http://www.vivelecanada.ca/article.php? ... 0111707274

The more letters get sent, the better chance there will be media coverage--the Globe and Mail is already interested and Vive le Canada is meeting with a reporter Monday at 9 am. The more letters sent before then, the better chance it'll be covered.

I just saw that in vivelecanada a half-hour ago; I have posted a similar message in two other sites (as well as sent in my own email)

It only takes about 15 seconds folks - send yours now!

Good work guys and gals. If only half the people who have read this thread send emails the message will get heard. Go to every political, miliary, or Laura Secord forum you can find and tell people about this.

I agree this looks like it comes from Martin. This guy is way to cosy with the US. We need an effective way to turn up the heat besides emails to MPs.

I know a thing or two about the media and I don't know if national media have the balls to take it on right now. I do know that this needs to become a bigger story.

I'm going to start another post with a poll. I want EVERYONE WHO READS THIS THREAD TO VOTE IN THE POLL....PLEASE.

I am going to use it to turn up a little pressure. Feel free to use this same tactic anywhere you can.

We've sent about 2000 emails to Allan Rock and others (like the Chief Statistician of Canada) on this through Vive le Canada.ca, and we've gotten an email response from the Chief which unfortunately doesn't really change much. They're not backing down--yet. Vive has managed to get national coverage in the Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star, and several other places so far, and we'll keep hammering on it. The Council of Canadians has also started their own separate but very similar email action now.

For all info and updates visit the link posted earlier on and check out the comments--I've been posting updates there.

Don't hold your breath waiting for that response, Lyle. I contacted three Liberals (PMO, Martin, and the Rockhead himself) and got no response. There has also been no response from the Alliance or the PCs.

Keep going to Vive le Canada for updates...Susan, the editor there, is keeping us all posted through that site. Also make sure your friends and relatives know about this travesty and send letters to all of the appropriate parties.
