I agree. My buddy is a card carrying, legal user who gets supplied by the gov't (he was just given some seeds a while back too), and the product is grossly inferior. Besides, it's not the guy down the street with a few plants that's the problem, it's the organized grow ops with millions at stake.

I have mixed feling son this topic. On one side i can see that legalizing it would bring in a lot of income, would probably safer, less illgal trafficing, its not that bad for you, yes probably less so than alcohol...

But with that said should alchohol or cigs even be legal? They are all bad for the health and addicting to certain amounts. Would be not be better off if they were all gone? I know this would be very hard to happen and would cause even more black market crap, but its just a thought.

My bud didn't have time to become a member,it was either illegal ganja or the legal morphine they were giving him.

If they legalize it and people can grow it in their backyards, I'd just be worried that minors could get it too easily. Hop a fence, steal a plant and some kid has pot for a year.

We worked in a town last year putting in sewer so we saw every house on every block for 6 months and the labourer's were eyeing up the house with the 16 foot high fence.They even waited untill they were budding and it was a snatch and grab every other night for this grower from the young bucks that thought they could get some primo freebies! It took a bit of skill to get these plants,there was nail laden boards under the grass and he even chased a few off with a loaded shotgun,once burned,he learned,only 3 plants got scooped on the first assault.
They wouldnt even let us in their basement to tie in the sewer,had to pay to drill the frikken thing in from the road.

So 15 ten dollar an hour labourer's........working for 2 days right next to this huge fence and a nice view of the crop......was too funny to watch,the boys were salivating. And you just knew what was going to happen. I think there was even an agreement made to leave them untill they budded but someone got greedy.Then it was a free for all. I was in a grader so had a good view. Went by that place about 200 times,first place I would cruise start of the shift.See what kind of damage was done overnight.

MY WHOLE FAMILY smokes the crap and it pisses me off..

MY sister, a couple years ago, smoked every day, three tiems a day, she would go to work high, lost her job, spent all of her savings on the shit, and had no money and no intention of getting a new job.. every opportunity she had to get some money, pissed it away.. Said she wasn't addicted, said it just helped her stress.. BS.. BS BS.. stupid kids who beleive smokin a joint is good for relieving stress, regardless of how stupid u become, LITTERALLY, my mom can't remember the date 5 mins after looking at a callandar, she never used to be like that..

Than to make matter SO MUCH WORSE..

my ex's brother was 8 years old, was struck dead by a car.. the driver, not drunk.. was high..

I have seen teh damage it can cause.. it is brutal.. and as a comeback, i know i would hear Well.. IF OVER useing it is a problem, than just don't use it so much.. SHUT UP.. if it is legal and available, people will suck back packs of it like peeps do right now for cigerettes... I have seen it ruin peoples lives, people that stood a chance.. Does it always ruin lives? Hell no.. but it does, the temptation for abuse is there.. Legalization would only increase this temptation exponentially.. I see most of the people in this forum are pro the stuff, and that is the BIGGEST problem with Canada.. The rest of the world knows it too, we do the stuff far too much, it is destroyign what little respect neighbouring nation politicians have for us..

What about second hand, if it became legal, legislation would need to be pushed to ensure it does not become public.. keep the bs indoors in your own house.. if i walk down the street with, assuming i have one someday, my family, and my kids are inhalign the shit, i will be right pissed.. and don't say it doesn't do as much second hand, cuz it does..

Our youth is already SCREWED, too many kids are tempted to not do homework, not do chores, rather do drugs, the opionion and lazy ideology comes hand in hand with smoking pot, our kids are having enough problems as it is.. But than again, i suppose we need our trades people, but the problem is they never grow out of it.. they never pursue benificial carears, as a summer job, i worked part time in a small cities Court House, you wanna know what ALL of the demographic was of criminals, petty criems like assault, B&E, and even major things like arsen, or rape.. (Did come across it).. If it wasn't punk kids, kids who smoke pot, kids who drink constantly, kids who are pissing away thier lives, than it was those who already did.. Those on welfare, and who refuse to get a job, who refuse to work, instead would rather smoke, drink, do nothing, cause problems, and if not.. than at least is poor and doesn't want to change their lives due to the lazy ideology picked up in their youth..

Smoking pot is like a plague on the success of our nation, we are being held back.. we have suck potential, such smart young minds, eager to advance, are being help up, if not by the temptation, than by those who failed to fight the temptation.. SAVE CANADA, GET RID OF THE POTHEAD IDEOLOGY...

Can’t all of these “arguments” be applied to other social vices, like alcohol? Is there anything else allegedly catastrophic that you and moral police (because it’s not about medical issues or you’d be advocating an abolishment of alcohol, caffeine, tobacco and you’d be on a crusade to ban harmful foods too – isn’t obesity a detriment to society as well as the individual’s health?) want removed from individuals?
