We won't see that.. The players union has been pummelled.. now the owners can give back a little bit here and there and they'll sign it.. ..and the players union also know now that if they try to play stupid games next time that they're gonna get quashed again.. so its all good.

Don't get me wrong.. I'm not pro-corporation or anything.. I also think it should be mandatory that the teams give up 10% or their net income to charity every year too.

Personally, I could care less if there ever was the NHL, as it stands now, again. There are too many low talent American teams that have one or two highly (ridiculously) paid marquee players. The Canadian markets where the fan base is there for the hockey and not the hype cannot afford to pay admission so the owners can pay the players. We need to get rid of 5 or 6 American teams that have no fans and return the Canadian teams like Winnipeg and Quebec City.

The players nowadays don't love the game they love the money!

Bye bye, Carolina, Florida, Columbus, and Anaheim...if you don't fold, then move back to Winnipeg, Quebec, and maybe even Hamilton. Hell, how about a team in Seattle or Portland?

Remove Columbus from that list! It's not fair to say that Columbus is not a hockey market.

Come on people, remember it once for all, Columbus is not the same as Florida, Phoenix or Tampa.

Bettmen has no problem taking teams from Canada where hockey is religion and moving them to America where hockey is behind Football, Baseball, Basketball and even Nascar (ughh). But when the topic came up about Pittsburgh moving to Winnipeg, he was snarly at Ron Maclean when he asked the question, he replied with a bitchy attitude. I still want Bettmen fired, we need some one in charge who knows hockey and sees that bringing teams to Canadian markets may actually benefit hockey rather then watering down the talent by expanding to american cities which have no love for the game.

I know people are gonna say, Winnipeg left, the fans were not good. Bull! Winnipeg invented the white out which is now used in alot of areans, well, they use the red mile and stuff like that. (Hated it when Philly copied the flames last season).

Anyway, Winnipeg should get a team back. We have a new arena and fans who are hungry for hockey. www.jetsowner.com is a cool site dedicated to the cause.

Trim down the teams and bring a couple back to Canada. Maybe Eastern Canada.

Can't wait to see how the teams are going to change this off season with all the free agents. Hopefully the Leafs will sign some free agents who aren't over 35 lol. Belfour is abit old to be our goalie, we need a new tender, defense and forwards, god I hope GM fergusson can build us a winner.

Go! Leafs Go!

First of all.... BOOOOO Leafs.

Secondly, the new stadium is great for the AHL, but it's not big enough for the NHL. I wish Winnepeg did get a team back, but I doubt it will happen, at least not in the near future.

I'm not yet ready to celebrate. I will be when Bettman and Goodenow get sacked.

Bettman ----> [bash]

Goodenow---> [hockey]

The MTS Centre has a capacity over 15,000. How many NHL teams have a daily attendance of 15,000 or more? I know alot of the teams do fill arenas with larger capacities, but there are alot of teams with large capacities and less attendance. With the NEW salary cap, owners can build a competitve roster which is affordable for smaller markets. Enter Winnipeg!

Less capacity means more demand so the tickets would sell fast and every game would be sold out.

Bring the NHL back to Winnipeg, I need to see the NHL live some day and traveling to Toronto is too pricey, and good tickets are near impossible to get.

Dennis
