Since Ottawa and Calgary are fine, I'm rooting extra hard for Montreal and Edmonton, even though they will be eliminated by us....

I've never been a Montreal fan and I don't think I ever will be. In this series, I want to see Carolina advance only because I'm a Mark Reddhi fan. He was traded from the Pens so he could have a chance in the playoffs before he retires. He has no cup to date.

The NHL should amend the rules again....in my opinion, the team winning the Presidents Trophy should have a bye in the first round of the playoffs! It must really be embarrassing to lose to the 8th place team - 2 years running! I also don't agree with the point system....it shouldn't be based on how you finish in your division as to the final standings. A team with 98 points should not be ahead of a team that has 102 points!

I can't help but wonder if Anaheim knocks off the Flames, if this would be the first time in NHL history that the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and fourth seeds were knocked off in the first round of either conference.
