This Just In!!

Just wanted to let you know that Detroit Red Wings "Darren McCarty's" rock and roll band "Grinder" have confirmed a tour of Ontario in March.
They have inked a deal with "Rubber Road Records" and the "Grinder" CD "Gotta keep Movin" will be released nationwide the first week of March distributed thru (Maple/Universal).

Dates: Monday, March 21st, London Ontario- Call the Office
Tuesday, March 22nd, Hamilton Ontario- The Underground
Thursday, March 24th, Toronto Ontario- Lee's Palace
Saturday, March 26th, Kingston Ontario- TBA
Monday, March 28th, Toronto Ontario- The Drake.
Get your tickets.. they are going fast!
Grinder will be supported on this tour by Toronto's feathered fivesome " The Chickens".

Well I hope that McCarty is better than Don Cherry! Remember "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Techno"? Yechhh...

But you gotta love it when hockey players decide to get a music career going. Makes for some damn fine recordings!

One record I would love to get my hands on is "Schony", by 1970's Buffalo Sabre Jim Schoenfeld. I've never listened to it but it's mostly made up of cover versions of tunes like "All Along The Watchtower" etc... Sounds like a classic to me!

Another one I would like to hear is a song about the NHL (I don't remember its name) recorded by "Beachcombers" legend Bruno Gerussi!

I saw Darren's band in Detroit a few month's ago and really liked them..not a novelty act. The Cd is quite good also.. Classic Motor City Rock from someone who has done his homework!
