Since we have support threads for all the Canadian teams in the playoffs, I though we might need a thread to discuss all the series in general.

I for one watched the Tampa/NJ, Buff/NYI games today and I have to say that for an entertaining series, the Buffalo/NYI games was a great game. Fast, sharp and wide open. The Tampa/NJ game was a typical NJ game....boring for the most part.

This could be one of the most entertaining playoff season we've had for years. I quite like the new NHL now.

Too bad we don't get to hear Rick Jeannere, he's almost more entertaining than the game itself! LOL

LOL......he's the Buffalo announcer that has a heart attack after every goal they score isn't it? Man, he must have surgery to repair his vocal cords at least once a year.

Yeah, that's the one. I have a WMP file on him on my computer and I'd love to post it in my profile here. 8)

I've been watching the other series as well. To bad there are no games for Saturday night. I'm disappointed. :(

I hope Tampa can get to game 6. That may be the only playoff game we'll be able to see when we're there next week. I think our team is trying to get a box to watch the game from.

I'll pass on Jeanneret, the Fan in Calgary think it's funny replaying his calls on goals. Say if buffalo scores 10 goals they will play all 10 calls. Now after 6 months of it as soon as i hear his name i run to change the channell before the first GOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLL comes out of his mouth

I thought they'd have one that covers their games only, seperate from the CBC. The Leafs have that guy that says "Holy Makinaw" and thought all the other teams would have one too.

If the Canucks game is on Sportsnet, it's Jim Houston and John Garret usually, but if it's a pay per view or if you listen to the radio on Team 1040, it's Tom Larscheid who is a pretty good colour man. He gets pretty animated, but he's not a screamer, more of a quirky saying kinda guy. He's been doing Canucks games since I was in my teens. (That's quite awhile ago I must say)

I prefer Garrett over Neale with Jim Hughson. Wonder why they switched it up?

I was Cole and Neale all the time but this year they change them up and mix them. At least that's the way it is in the east.

 .....Thanx Atlanta, now we have to put up with the Rangers for yet another series. I hope who ever they meet in the next round takes them out in four straight, all the games scores are like 6-0. Man I hate the Rangers!!!!!!!

They were switched up because Sens fans would have maybe blown up the CBC building. There's been to many Leafs / Sens serires and the Sens fans have come to hate the 2 Leaf Homers. They can handle one but not both. Thats not an offical statement from CBC just my thoughts.
And for every other hockey fan, thank god it's not Hughson and Millan doing the Canuck games.

just glad I haven't seen hide nor hair of cassie campbell this fine fine playoff season... Not being sexist... actually it could help when we have parties for the cup games... just put a brick or canadian cheddar cheese in front of the TV speaker and turn up the volume.. her voice grates that cheese really quickly...LOL
