Iv'e been a lifelong fan of Hockey and grew up in Detroit following my idol Gordie Howe. After he retired from the Wings he relocated to Houston to play with the Aeros with his sons. In 1976 I had my fill of Detroit and wanted to move to Phoenix Az. While visiting there I caught a game between the Aeros and the Roadrunners. What a thrill to see the old man score 4 goals and get two assists! They beat Phoenix 8-2. It was April 3. I went into the locker room by B.S.ing the security guard and got to talk with Mark & Marty who used to hang around my hometown of Roseville Michigan. They asked to me hang around and meet "dad" who was being interviewed by the press. Gordie was a super polite man although I stayed clear of his elbows. Sorry. You cant talk about Gordie and not his elbows. He, Mark and Marty signed my Aeros pennant that night. I've treasured it ever since.

Im old now and need to pass this along to someone who would truly appreciate this piece of hockey history. So my question is...Do any of you have an idea where and how to sell or auction something like this in Canada? I'd like it to go to Canada as I don't feel Detroit did well by Gordie. He is a Canadian National Treasure.

For any naysayers I am not a salesman. I'm a retired public servant who has nobody to pass this onto as my kids are not hockey fans. I want this to have a good home.

Ebay or Kijiji, but call the media first, that pennant is something really special,
and your kids need a smack upside the head.

Only problem is that all Houston Aeros is gone, so no one to continue the legacy.


The other option is to call the Hockey Hall of Fame, although I imagine they have a bunch
of Howe stuff already.
