Detroit made the trades of elite yet older generation players and look where they are? Ferguson and Quinn tried to do the same thing and they got damaged goods (Lindros, technically Belfour). Just wasn't the Leafs year this...year and they should get something together next year.

Many fans of the canadiens know them as the Habs.

Even Sport Broadcasters outside of Montreal refer to them as the Habs.

My best friend and refer to them as the "boys". Maybe from the french Canadian film " Les Boys".

Either way, I am always proud to call them my team, and will gladly be strutting around Southern Ontario with my Montreal Canadiens jersey, especially downtown Toronto.

TAKE THAT LEAF FANS!!!!!!!!

Did you have a problem with Kovalev doing something just as terrible to Tucker last night?

What Kovalev did to Tucker was wrong, and he got a penalty for it.

But there was no damage to Tucker, and he got up and tried to start something just like the bunch of players near the end of the game.

LEAFS LOST AND LOST BIG!!!!!

Case Closed!!!

He got smashed in the face with an elbow, obviously it's not case closed. I used to get smashed in the head with elbows too when I played and it's not a very nice thing to do. In addition with all the frustration the Leafs have had all season and that particular game, I would be pretty pissed off if somebody tried to elbow me. I suppose the 'right' thing to do would be for Tucker to just back off but nah...it's hockey. :D

You complain about an elbow pad hitting the side of a padded helmet?

If it was a stick beside the head, especially causing a cut or poke in the mouth or eye, then throw the book at him and kick him out of the league.

That is the way I feel about it. I maybe bias towards the habs, but no matter what the team, Tucker got up immediately and went after players.
No suffering, no laying on the ice in pain.

It would certainly frustrate the hell out of me if somebody takes an elbow to ANY part of my face or head, padded elbow or not, padded helmet or not.

The difference here is that a stick to the face can be deliberate or an accident. Pretty hard to have an "accidental" elbow to the head in my opinion but this wasn't the case for Kovalev as his elbow to Tucker seemed pretty deliberate there. I was watching the game.

What's an enforcer in hockey supposed to do? Cower on the ice to draw a penalty 2 minutes before a blow out game ends when elbowed in the face/head all the while frustrated with himself and his team?

Do you like European style hockey? Just wondering.

Tucker got what he deserved after high sticking Kovalev at the other end of the ice seconds before. He went for the hit but Kovalev saw him coming and gave out a shot. Old time hockey I say.
