What the heck is happening to Leafs ? Are they trying for the NHL record of the longest run at no cup...wait I think they already have that one.
What is wrong with the Leaf Nation Fans....are they asleep at the wheel why don't they stop going to games to send a message to management ? Why do they keep Sundin ? Why is JF still there ? Are we going to be asking these questions all freakin season and then start out asking them again next season and the one after that ??
It pains me to say but my Leafs are a joke as seen by other teams and other NHL fans are laughing themselves sick.

Chicago...

Status...

Sundin is one of the best...

Drop Fergie now please....

If Fergie is still around....

They aren't quite the laughing stock, but yes, currently I'd put my money on their opposition...

Change your avatar please, a long time CKA resident has dibs on it.

Why do they keep Sundin? Because he is a consistent top scorer who pretty much is the Leaf team, that's why. One player who gets multiple points per game can only do so much. Blake is a good addition but needs more output. Stajin is a good young player who just won them the game tonight. Kyle Wellwood had/or has potential but his injury is preventing him from playing now.

I think goaltending and defense is the problem currently. Besides taking a look at the players, how about that coach Paul Maurice?

I agree.

Very inconsistent goaltending and many many shockingly bad giveaways in the defensive zone.

That and every year the Leaf players must be under the impression they are getting paid by the penalty minute because they cannot stay out of the box.

The Leafs *current* golden years were probably under Quinn and Curtis Joseph as they went farther in the playoffs since then. If you mess with success, you get nothing or drastically reduced results. That is why the Sens locked up their top line.

Raycroft had ONE good year for the Bruins and made the playoffs. Since then he has been not even a mediocre goaltender. What did the Leafs do? "Raycroft made the playoffs once and now we have to get him" Bad move in my opinion. Toskala is a decent move but with the defense in front of him, there is only so much he can do.

Concerning John Ferguson. Is he the general manager or the owner? If he is the GM, get rid of him.

I am wondering how long it will be before the Leaf Nation stands up and says what f--- is going on. A big enough yell that management has to say holy crap are they pissed or what. Are the Fans going to do it this month or this year or next year or when. As long as Leaf Fans BLINDLY go to game after game after game management will think there is nothing wrong with the Fans and keep this a-hole JF around until his contract is up and another run at the cup is gone down the crapper.
What is wrong with the people in TO ????

JFJ is safe for another year leaf nation. You have defeated the Mighty Senators so you are stuck with Paul and jr until Doug Gilmour get enough nerve to take the coach's job and Tie Dummy want to be the OFFICIAL GM!

I don't know why people are shocked at the state of the leaves, this has been going on for as long as I can remember. Change the names, and this could be a conversation from the 70's', 80's or 90's.

And what's up with Leaf Nation's outrageous claim that the leaves are 'Canada's Team'? I've never seen any evidence to support this, and suspect that the leaves fan base would have been steadily eroded outside of Toronto by the cup runs of Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa and the pathetic state of the leaves themselves.

I suspect that the Habs are the most popular team in Canada. They have a lock on Québec, where there are virtually no leaf fans, and I've met tonnes of Habs fans in every city in every province in which I've lived.
