Gonchar could have been the goat for Russia.. It doesn't boil down to one thing you f**king pinhead.
Penalties are called all the time.. you kill them.. Question is where in the fuck were Heatley, Iginla, Richards, St. Louis, Betuzzi, Blake, Sakic, LeCavalier, McCabe these guys can't generate offence against Russia, Finland or the Swiss....
Brodeur and Luong both played well..
another hallmark of a Pat Quinn coached team... Don't worry about the defence.. fuck we've got two of the best in the world back there... Did we outshoot anyone besides italy, germany or the Swiss. Nope.. Absolutely horrible from this team Abysmal power play, horrible penalty killing.. thier 5 on 5 play sucked.. couldn't make a break out if they tried... No intensity, no heart no drive... they came up short. But just don't blame Bertuzzi.. what was this the first game you ever watched.. fuck people like you piss me off...
Pat quinn should share the blame .. heatley of all people in a checking role with doan and draper....Pat fuck what are you doing.. do you know what your doing.. apparently not...

Sakic, Iginla and Heatley.
Bertuzzi, Thorton, Nash
Draper,Smyth and doan.. now thats a grind line....
Work Gagne into and out of lines...
fuck not hard Pat....

ok,ok, retraction!! knee jerk reaction to feeling like we got OWNED at our own game. alas, it's not all on Bertuzzi's back. The whole team played bad, right from the get go. There was no cohesion, no solid offensive play, and a total inability to find the back of the net.
on another note, maybe canada should look into getting a new brand of stick!! how many times in one game can we break an engineered piece of wood!

Well, I did say in the original forum (about the Olympic team choices)that picking Bertuzzi would come back to haunt us.
He might have been in the box, but it was hardly his fault that we lost. He wasn't the goat, but rather the entire team was. We had 20 players who couldn't score when push came to shove and instead chose to take a lot of stupid penalties.
If anyone needs an ass-kicking, it's Pronger. He spent more time in the box than on the ice. The worst part of his penalties were that they always seemed to come right after the other team got one, killing our PP. Inexcusable!

It may only take one guy to win it, but it takes a team to loose.

Yes it was not all Tuzzi's fault but it is clearly evident that because he took that penalty it resulted in a goal for Russia. I'm not saying that because of Tuzzi's penalty Canada would of won (Canada was horrible), I am just saying that it helped get that first goal of the game.
BTW---Take it easy Twister.

Surprisingly I am quite calm about this.. cause you could see the train wreck coming from 5 miles away.....
