The 2017 World Juniors pre-tournament rounds started today with Canada playing Finland. Halfway through the 1st period Canada leads 2-0. Wednesday has them playing the Czech Republic at 4:00pm PT and Friday has them playing Switzerland.

I'm looking forward to this year's World Juniors. Not only are the games going to be on at a reasonable time of day but for the first time since 2012 I can watch the games from my own couch AND not have a work schedule interfering with game times.

Maybe it wouldn't be if they'd bothered to look at the OHL for defence and goaltending. Mike DiPietro? Dylan Wells? Mattieu Henderson? Logan Stanley? Darren Raddysh? Connor Timmins?

There's lots of defence and goaltending in the OHL but politics...

They went with a OHL majority last year and what did that get them, 6th place? yea I think it was 6th place.

There are 2 players from the Q this year, but one is from Alberta, the other from BC, what does that do to the stats ?
