Yogi Yogi: I'm off to Calgary today to see a 'pain management' specialist tomorrow morning. Pain ablation. My understanding is that the procedure involves injections or cauterization of the nerves which are causing the pain. As far as I am concerned, that is only treating the symptoms, not the cause. I'm obligated to go, at least for an assesment. And that's all it will be! Good luck.

Yogi Yogi: I have finally discovered what 'amoment of clarity' really is. For me, it's about 15 mins before the hour while my meds are wearing off, to 15 mins after the hour that I take more! Got a call today ![Cheer [cheer]](./images/smilies/icon_cheers.gif) from False Creek Clinic that one of their surgeons has requested my files, along with a new ultra sound. I am going to our local clinic in the morning to see a Dr & get a requisition for one. Who knows? I could be bound for Hongcouver this week! Is the issue pain?

The pain is just a symptom caused by the fact that my body rejected the mesh implants and formed a fibrosis around which also has grown to wrap around several nerves including the ones which control the lower part of my body. One slip with a scalpel and I'm a parapalegic. I can certainly understand why no other surgeons will go near me!

The Dr. agrees with me that I should in fact have at least one more Surgeon consulting. He also mentioned Mayo Clinic. He is sending my surgeon recommendation for a few more tests as well as an MRI. So for now I guess it's more 'hurry up & wait'!

Seriously though, I hope everything works out for you because there's nothing worse than waiting for the other shoe to drop when it comes to a persons health. But at least they're considering sending you to the Mayo Clinic which means they're serious about finding the problem and fixing it so, good luck buddy and keep us posted. ![Drink up [B-o]](./images/smilies/drinkup.gif)

![Drink up [B-o]](./images/smilies/drinkup.gif) ^^^ Just got a lead tonite on an aquantance of one of my cousins who apparently had the same situation as I am going thru, perhaps even worse as his involved serious infection, and he has had successful corrective surgery. I've got some research to do tout de suite!

PostFactum PostFactum: East European disease as I, It isn't a disease, it is how the world really works. If you think Canada is free of corruption, you will be sadly disappointed. Maybe not the doctors, but they solve it by protecting themselves by not taking any chances, or fixing other doctors' fuck-ups. Not doing something is also a sign.
