I really want to see Winterpeg win, but me thinks it's going to be a long shot without Glenn.

Rider Pride is alive and well. Looserpeg seems to be missing the wagon.
It's amazing that the Eastern semi-final was not a sell out in Winnipeg while Riderville sold out in 20 minutes...
Either way it'll be a great game! Of course those that live in Toronto will find something else to do cuz their team isn't in it. Hopefully those from the west (Winnipeg included) will show those snots down east how to have a good time!

Robair Robair: Pimpbrewski Pimpbrewski: bootlegga bootlegga: Nice one Streaker.
I'd like to see the Bombers win, but without a QB it'll take a miracle.
Riders by 10. Is that the spread? Cause I will bet 10k on the Riders then Careful, Winterpeg's second string QB comes with an impressive resume.
Hey, I'm a Bombers fan, so I'm just being honest.
The Riders always seem to put 110% into games against the 'Peg. Guess they are still angry about the Banjo remark...
Winnipeg got a good defence but without Glenn, their offence isn't as good as it was. Who knows, maybe Dinwiddie can do the job, but I'm a realist and I think the weiners from Regina will win.

I hope the Riders don't think they just have to show up. There's not much pressure on this guy, he may surprise a few people.
$1: Hollywood, here comes The Backup
The Californian is fond of those old Hollywood scripts where the no-name quarterback stumbles off the bench to become the hero.
Backup Winnipeg quarterback Ryan Dinwiddie will make his first CFL start in this Sunday's Grey Cup game against Saskatchewan, replacing the injured Kevin Glenn (broken arm).
"It's definitely one of those stories," Dinwiddie said yesterday. "Jeff Hostetler kind of did that with the (New York) Giants back in the early 1990s. So, this definitely one of those things but I just want to win the game."
Hostetler served as backup to Phil Simms for that NFL team for his first five seasons, rarely making an appearance. But Simms suffered a broken foot on Dec. 15, 1990 and Hostetler took over as the starting QB. The Giants then won their last two regular-season games and swept through the playoffs, beating the Buffalo Bills 20-19 in Super Bowl XXV. Hostetler completed 20 of 32 passes for 222 yards and one touchdown, with no interceptions in that game.
"I want it a lot," said Dinwiddie, who turns 27 next week. "You want to go play and this is definitely the game you want to go play in. I've been patient, waiting all year, and it just happened this week and it's the best week to happen because you always want to play in the big game."
The Boise State star played in plenty of big games back in college.
"We had some big Bowl games that were similar situations to this but this is definitely the biggest game of my career and I look forward to the opportunity," said Dinwiddie, who completed 17 of 24 passes for 175 yards in three regular-season games this year. "It's a bad situation for (Glenn) because he brought us here and he really deserves to play in this game. At the same time, it's a great opportunity for myself."
Actually, Dinwiddie handled himself rather well in a pressure-packed East Final when he was pressed into duty for Glenn. Dinwiddie completed four of four passes for 80 yards and only a fumble on a exchange with tailback Charles Roberts kept him from capping off one drive with a major score.
"I really haven't the opportunity to play too much and for a young player, this is an opportunity to prove that you belong in this league," said the 6-foot, 189-pounder who believes he is more mobile than Glenn.
"He kind of reminds of a Brett Favre type," Glenn said, referring to the Green Bay legend. "He's real excited when he's out on the field. He's one of those quarterbacks where he'll make a play and he'll talk stuff to the defensive players. But he really studies well. He's a very good quarterback."
Bomber head coach Doug Berry compared Dinwiddie to Tom Canada, the free spirit who plays defensive end rather well for Winnipeg.
"There's no doubt in my mind that he's not going to get rattled in the game," Berry said. "He's very confident in his abilities. He's just very free. He's out there to play the game and he's not going to be bothered by bad things that happen.
"Ryan is very capable, he understands what we're doing and is very competent in his own abilities and skills. With this opportunity, he will demonstrate why we wanted to have him here."

Did you see him on TSN's, The Last Word ? After listening to him talk, it left me wondering if he was one of these jocks that go through 4 years of University and can't even read.
