In the spring I preordered my 4 GC tickets and yesterday the Lions office announced by email that some band called "Imagine Dragon" is playing at half time.
Never heard of them. Checked their music on the internet and they appear to suck. No wonder so many old school musicians keep touring into their 70s given how lame most modern bands are.
Doubt it will be a great show like last year:
Guess I know when during the game to go to the washroom.

The Sheepdogs performing Feeling Good would have been a better half time show.....but anything is better than Bieber.....then again watching the crowd pelt him with frozen water bottles would be entertaining.

I'm not an Imagine Dragons fan but they are popular with several big cross-over hits.
I don't care for any prime-time TV family friendly muscial act, guaranteed it's probably not going to be my cup of tea. But the CFL was always scratching its head and trying for figure why they've lost so many fans or credibility in the under 45 demographic these days....meanwhile they're booking ancient bands that are irrelevant to young people like The Nylons, Bachman Turner, Byran Adams, Trooper, Blue Rodeo to headline their marquis event.
I'd rather the Grey Cup capture headlines around the world with Beiber than be the butt of jokes with The Nylons.

We need some good female entertainers ... chesty ones ... and wardrobe failures.

Just for that, I hope Rita McNeil haunts your dreams until the 200th Grey Cup.

Meh, they're trying to please an audience that ranges from 9 to 90, while avoiding controversy or scandal yet also trying not to look too much like a bunch of fuddy-duddies.
Can't be easy. Best solution for the fans is to do like I do, get so drunk at a grey cup party that you don't even know what the score is at half-time, never mind care about the performers.

Had a listen... not bad, but not my cup of tea.
My question is... What, no Canadian artists out there good enough for the Grey Cup?
Note: ...and please, no Bieber or Dion.

Don't know who they are, have never heard of them until this. Doesn't matter anyhow as I can't remember the last time I watched the half time show. I usually use the time to put together dinner or something similar.
