GO RIDERS ![Cheer [cheer]](./images/smilies/icon_cheers.gif)
Unfortunately it isn't going to happen because
for some reason the CFL thinks hitting a defenseless QB in the head is okay so long as he's the Roughriders insisted on keeping a QB named Zach Collaros, who has a history of head injuries and shouldn't even be playing football anymore.
Fixed for accuracy.
I've never been one to take Hamilton's side on anything, but Lawrence was trying to avoid that hit, managing to make his helmet miss but connecting with the shoulder. Players know the risks of football well in advance.
Also....the Riders knowingly put a QB with previous concussion issues out on the front lines, knowing that one more hit might finish his career. This is also the same Roughriders team that 'believed' Collaros when he said after a big hit in last year's preseason that he 'didn't have a concussion' when he did, and was hiding the fact to keep playing.
Sorry, but the Riders have themselves to blame this time.

(P.S. GO BOMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Of course only a Bombers fan would say that being on the receiving end of a cheap shot was the victims fault.
But please explain to me how it's the Riders fault again. Should they tell someone to stop playing because he had concussions in the past from cheap shots? Hell nobody in their right mind would think that this kind of crap would continue to keep happening to the same QB over and over again.
BTW do you remember a Winnipeg QB named Buck Pierce? You guys had no problem playing him with all the injuries and concussions he had. Hell you'd still be playing him if he hadn't retired himself. So stop the it's Saskatchewan's fault bullshit. I can name you dozens of teams in two leagues that have done worse.
And if you don't think it was a cheap shot maybe you should listen to the people who actually play and played the game because you're obviously at odds with them.

But not to worry it's all okay cause Simoni Lawrence is sorry and Winnipeg's chances to make the playoffs just got alot better.
