25 - 8 the final for the Stamps, not surprisingly. However, I do believe I detected some holes in their O and their D. If we bring our A-team to the game against them next week, I do believe the Riders might just come out on top.

But, it's still nice to see the Chicago Tribune is keeping an eye on him because for our league any exposure south of the border is good exposure.

Actually USA Today and a few other outlets regularly have CFL coverage, although it is buried in the back of their sports section.

Well, here we go this is a big test for my Riders and our coaching staff. Calgary comes into Regina tonight with 5 consecutive wins under their belts. They are tops in the entire league let alone the West.

I am hoping that we go out there and perform to our very best until the last whistle blows. I will not countenance stupid penalties especially if they come AFTER the play has been whistled dead.

GO RIDERS

24 zip after the 1rst Q...........for Calgary. Pathetic, that's the only way to describe how I feel about my Riders performance so far...........oh and inept, that too.

We've dug ourselves a big hole but are slowly and sometimes rather spectacularly clawing our way back. At the end of the first half, we trail the Stamps 24 - 13. The last three points were courtesy of an standing-O worthy FG by Brett Lauther. 56 yards and the fans had reason to cheer again. Their former reason was when Antigua intercepted a pass from Bo and took it to the end zone for our only but really much appreciated TD of the game. Brett also nailed one from the 45 earlier in the game.

We've been known as the come-back kids over the years, so I am still holding out hope that we can pull this one out. I do have to commend the team on their discipline in the game so far.

GO RIDERS!

A chip shot for Brett from around the 40 and my Riders are now within a converted TD of tieing the game.

Fortune favors the brave and in this case the ready as we recover a Calgary fumble. Yeah!

Brett just might win this game for us all by himself. He just nailed another one and narrowed the Stamps lead to 5.

Stamps just got another TD not without the help of a now seemingly uu-disciplined defense who gifted the Stamps 25 yards. Mind you an accurate pass by Bo to Daniels in the end zone got them the TD.

31 - 19 Calgary very late in the 3rd Q

31 - 22 with 9 minutes and counting left in the game and once again it is Brett stepping up and salvaging the drive.

So Brandon is in the end zone, completes a pass to Marcus for half of the D, meanwhile one of our offensive lineman got caught for holding. And things just go downhill from there..the punt team comes on.......Josh is in the end zone.....the Calgary recevier has a great return but the Stamps are called for holding.

We are not going to miraculously manufacture a comeback. Calgary is going to win this game and I would be must less disappointed had I at least seen some fashion of offensive effort than was on display in this game. I have nothing but praise for our defense if for no other reason than the fact that they spent the majority of the game on the field, fighting to give our offense a chance - sadly, they were badly disappointed.

Rene Peredes adds 3 more points to the Stamps total. They now lead 34 - 22. We're toast.
