What's the fuckin difference? Nothing's going to change for any of us REGARDLESS OF WHO IS 'IN POWER'! However. I will vote anyways if for no other reason than to maintain MY RIGHT TO BITCH!

SprCForr SprCForr: I'm going to write in Bret "The Hitman" Hart.
If Jesse Ventura and Arnold can get elected in the US then surely Bret has a shot up here! Its a shame Andre was not still alive.

Reverend Blair Reverend Blair: Heh, the NDP are in majority territory. I would like to see the NDP in the house as opposition to the Conservatives.

Reverend Blair Reverend Blair: Except for the NDP have been growing the last two elections, Chumley. They are also the only party to beat a Conservative incumbent in the last election (two, actually)and have the best shot at beating several Conservatives this time around.
There is nothing undemocratic about strategic voting either. Voting against someone is just as valid as voting for, especially given the political situation today and the stupidity of our first past the post system.
If you are voting strategically though, follow the race in your riding, not the national race. If you live in Regina-Qu'Appelle, for instance, and you vote Liberal because Dion is ahead of Layton in the polls, you will have wasted your vote because only the NDP have a chance of beating a Conservative there. Check to see who has the best shot in your riding. I still think it would go that way though unless the parties were relatively even in strength. The "vote trading" thing on facebook for example would be lopsided if there weren't an equal amount of possible ridings to win for both sides. The greater of the two (or three) contesting parties would gradually sap away more votes from the others.

They really can't distort things though. They need 1 Liberal vote to swap for 1 NDP vote and so on. As long as people are watching their riding races, and the Facebook page encourages that, things should remain pretty equal in the larger scope of things.

westmanguy westmanguy: this poll is flawed, considering it said 'PC' and not Conservative. Thata a good point, I considered using just a "C" but that might not have been clear. I could have used "Con" but that seems demeaning. I wanted to use "CRAP" but didn't...What do you suggest? I spell them all out? That would take all night.

I will vote anyways if for no other reason than to maintain MY RIGHT TO BITCH! if that is how you feel, then don't vote Liberal. You'd be doing the Liberals a favor, the sooner they kick Dion out and replace him, the better the party will be.

As non partisan voter, I would like to invite all political party leaders to make electoral promises that actually matter.
So Harper, Layton, Dion ... listen up !
The 1st one that can bring 50 or so full size kegs of beer to my house gets my vote. That way, everybody is happy and gets what they want.

Harper will bring you the kegs, if you are in Quebec, Layton will force you to share it with the visable minority groups, and Dion will want to tax the methane production the morning after.
