I'm going to guess that it will either be a slight CPC majority or a large majority. Libs and Bloc will be almost equal in their seat totals and the NDP picking up around 20 seats (give or take).

Depends on whether the Ontario voters change their minds.

If I had to guess I think there will be a Conservative minority.

Conservative minority as of now, but some people will swing back to the Libs on election day.

I assume that the news media outlets are doing everything they can to under-report the Conservative rise.

By the end of the day, Martin will be as old as last Wednesday's poutine.

What channel have you been watching? All the news I've seen is obvious in its reporting of the sheer inevitablity of a Harper win. There has been no "under-reporting" that I've seen.

I have to agree with you Xerxes. I think the media has been extremely fair to Harper this campaign. I don't think it's ideological, I think it's because the Liberals have run such an amateur campaign.

I also think the CPC on about to win either a strong minority or weak majority.

More importantly, I think it's almost irrelevant. The Liberals are going to begin devouring themselves after this election. They'll be leaderless, bickering and spiteful. The NDP and Bloc will probably be happy to maintain the status quo.

That will allow the CPC to pretty much do anything they want for the next couple of years as nobody is going to be in a big hurry to go to the electorate again, least of all a leaderless Liberal party.

The Conservatives will just have to avoid doing anything that's totally unpalatable to the opposition and they'll be given a free hand, regardless of the seat count.

This is classic. I make a point based on a relative level of degree, and you make it an absolute all-or-nothing.

So why do you do it? I assume it's because you're looking for a chance at a cheap retort, and by overstating my point, you can seem to have a quick comeback.

Or is it just because your thinking is so limited everything is just black and white, stimulus and response, yin or yang?

So, which is it, cheap ploy or intellectual limitation?

I believe that the decision will be based on the voters from Ontario, but I am predicting a PC majority win.

Neither. You said that the media was under-reporting the CPC rise. I replied, by way of inquiry, where you had been getting your news fix. Because I (and MCB is backing me up on this [thank you by the way]) have not seen any evidence of that in the media. Not CBC, not Global, not CTV, not anyone is diminishing Harper and the CPC's inevitable success come Monday.

Just for the record, I voted Conservative Majority. Hoping too! Liberals deserve a swift kick in the butt is why. :P
