saturn_656 saturn_656:
Think back to Alfonso Gagliano. Former Liberal MP. Not only was he found directly responsible for wrong doing during the ADSCAM investigation, he was also reported to have mafia links (on more than one occasion).

Unfortunately, never proven in court.

And where is he now? Gone. On the other hand:

Bloc Quebecois links Conservative fundraiser to Mafia family friend
$1:
Construction boss Paul Sauve threw the fundraiser at Da Enrico restaurant months after his company got an $8.9-million contract to renovate Parliament's West Block.
Natural Resources Minister Christian Paradis was the guest of honour at the event. He was public works minister at the time.
Executives from several companies that got huge government contracts donated to the Conservatives to attend the fundraiser.
Opposition parties have demanded Paradis' resignation, raising the prospect that the Tories took kickbacks in return for handing out government contracts.
Duceppe asked if Paradis now regrets attending the event.
Public Works Minister Rona Ambrose answered, but did not respond directly to Duceppe's question. Instead, she said Public Works officials had addressed the "substance of the matter" when they appeared at a House of Commons committee earlier Tuesday.
Four senior Public Works officials appeared to explain how Montreal construction firm LM Sauve landed the West Block contract over four other prominent firms.
Sauve has said he hired Tory-connected businessman Gilles Varin to help get the deal, eventually paying him $140,000. LM Sauve went bankrupt a year later and lost the contract. The RCMP is now investigating the matter.

The beat goes on..

Nice try to divert the flak, but your shots have fallen far short of the mark.

No Conservative MP was implicated as being involved in any wrongdoing. RCMP are/were investigating a lobbyist by the name of Gilles Varin (mentioned in your article), who has a record of questionable behaviour.

The CPC line on Mr. Varin.

$1:
Correcting the record on Gilles Varin

Media reports are wrongly stating that Gilles Varin is a long-time organiser, member and donor of the Conservative Party of Canada.

Here are the facts:

This individual is not a member of the Conservative Party of Canada. In fact, we have no records of him ever being a member of our party.

This individual is not and has not been an organizer of the Conservative Party of Canada.

This individual has been an occasional donor to both the Conservative Party of Canada and the Liberal Party of Canada.

Reminds me of the time Harper claimed that Mulroney was not a member of the party, and the photo appeared later of him and his membership card.

$1:
“The guest list was specifically put together of people who had benefitted recently from contracts, a shakedown so those grateful contractors could show their thanks to the Conservative Party by benefitting you. Don’t you see that a kickback?” Martin said.

While Paradis “absolutely” denied the suggestion, Martin noted it is unknown how much money was raised because the Conservative riding organization for Bourassa was subsequently deregistered by Elections Canada for failing to report income.

Martin described Varin, who organized the fundraiser, as a “small-time hood” and “a serial shakedown artist” who was somehow able to get a contract for Sauvé.

“The relationship between Mr. Sauve and Mr. Varin is something else that I cannot comment on,” Paradis said.

Point is, The Liberals pushed Gagliano so far out that he sued them for defamation of character. Your boys huddle and deny.

Needs to be investigated to the fullest extent. These allagations are more serious than Murder and are tantamount to Treason.

1) There is no need to capitalize those words.

2) Unless the Conservatives powers were working with an enemy nation to manipulative the election, then it isn't treason.

Ta da ta da...it's Hyperbole Man

Image If it's found that there was enough actual interference to change the outcome of the election, then an election needs to be called and the electorate need to determine if a new government needs to take the helm. Senators that have been appointed since the last election should be removed....Controversial laws and legislation, where there was a close vote also need to be reexamined. Looks like Capt. Harper wasn't at the helm and the Costa Conservative has run aground.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Murder?

Okay I disagree with that.

I'm sure if the Conservative party orchestrated the murder of some Liberal it would be considered just a bit more "serious"

How could the thwarting of the Will of the People not be more serious than Murder? This is the most fundamental principle upon which our system is based.

 Because this can be corrected. Once someone has been killed, that's it. The fail is strong in you.
