I recieved a call from Jack Layton telling me of all the wonderfull things the workers party could do for me. Has anyone else recieved these calls?

It came from 1-888-639-0143, which is probably some call center in India.

If Jack is out there, fighting for lower cost cel phone service for all Canadians, why is he driving up my cell phone time with his long winded, unsolicited prattle?

Perhaps your cell phone number was used for something in the government such as voter registration rolls, or other government services.

I know in the states that being a registered voter gives your number to many survey companies.

In some ways the fact that they are reaching out via the phone is a good thing. I believe the majority of voters are out of touch on key issues, anything that gets their mind off the sunshine girl and sports is a good thing
