Actually is Belinda really a whore? I mean you got to admire someone who will stand up for beliefs by leaving a party, not like she was going to stay there long she would've voted pro-Martin and gotten booted out of the Cons and then would've joined the libs for what nothing, at least this way she stuck up for her beliefs and got moved up a bit.

R=UP

I agree it takes a lot of balls to stand up for what you believe in, especially when it's better for your career not to say anything.

Yeah, she was so upset about her quandy. I guess that's why she was up dancing on the speakers at the Liberal celebration party the night after the vote.

And I guess it was just a coincidence that she was given a juicy cabinet spot 3 days after she crossed the floor. I'm sure that had nothing to do with her decision.

And I guess she had a crystal ball that told her the CPC was going to form the government a mere 6 months later. If she did, it's a pretty good ball. Because nobody was predicting that even a month ago!

Motorcycleboy Motorcycleboy:
Are you serious? If you think Belinda joined the Libs for any reason other than the prospect of a juicy cabinet spot and the fear that the CPC wasn't going to form the government ever, then you'll believe rocks grow.

Her decision had nothing to do with gay marriage. A number of Conservatives voted against that bill, without repercussions. Harper was clear that it was a free vote.

The only thing Belinda believes in is Belinda's well being.

She's about to find out the hard way what happens to shameless political opportunists.

Can you hear yourself? It was better to go to the Libs? When she flipped, they were hanging on by a thread!

I think her well being was secured long before she ever entered politics. And with her (and Daddy's) wealth, they would be better off supporting the Cons and their 'let's tax the poor and not the rich' policies.

If you mean her political well-being, she would have been far better to stay with the Cons and get a cabinet post. I'm sure loverboy MacKay would have made sure she got a post in the Cabinet.

The worst political opportunism in the past year has been the Cons allying with the Bloc and trying to bring down the gov't, over a budget that they supported the week before. Then getting burned by Cadman (RIP) and the NDP. I just find it funny that a party that tried to use the scandal to bring down the gov't has the nerve to crow about opportunism!

Utter and total HYPOCRISY!

doesn't matter ! because we should have some recognition labeling to those who are not faithful to their party and if they are going to do this we should know with simple labeling since they're going to do it anyway . What would people say if they knew how much harper has jumped around in his Career WOT! POLITICS IS A CAREER ? 8O

They were hanging on to government by a thread. But few pundits or political strategists thought they would lose government in an election. What few did think that, were absolutely sure that another election would lead to a weak Conservative minority that would give the Liberals a chance to come back strong.

Her Dad, Frank Stronach, is a long time Liberal supporter on the federal front, and Tory stalwart on the Provincial front. That's a guy who tries to back winners, it has nothing to do with his ideological views. She is her daddy's daughter.

Nobody was predicting a CPC win even a month ago. Let alone last year. Everyone, including Ralph Klien, thought the Conservatives were a spent force and that Martin was coming back strong. Belinda didn't think she'd get a cabinet post with the CPC. She thought she'd be on the oppostion benches forever. She guessed wrong.

Hey, all's not lost. There's always a job at daddy's plant. Failing that, her plastic tittie job will always guarantee her a job as a lap dancer!

No, wait a minute. Lap dancing would be a bit too challenging for her intellectually. Better to stay with daddy!

Why was there something wrong with the CPC voting with the Bloc to bring down the government in May, but it was ok for the NDP to vote with the Bloc to bring down the government in November?
