westmanguy westmanguy:
Yeah I hope the rebelling Saskatchewan, Newfoundland, and Nova Scotia go orange and not red.

Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan are likely to go more NDP. And Newfoundland will probably go red solid.

Gains in BC, Ontario, and Quebec will do it though.

dont count on sask..the libs only have 2 seats here and it even looks like they'll lose one for sure..probably both which means very little when we only supply 14 seats..but harper must clean up his act..i'm greatly disappointed in him...at anyrate i'm thinking another conservative minority...not much difference in size from now

So next election how what party will govern us an at minority or majority count?

This is not about your partisan feelings, but what you honestly think will happen.

I believe we will get a Tory Majority.

i'm putting my partisan feelings behind me and saying another conservative minority...the only thing harper now has going for him is dion is too much of a joke...which is pretty pathetic...as a right-winger i'm very disappointed in harper and really doubt his integrity ..thinking he can dump all over n.s just because he figures he can get seats from more population-rich provinces

Well, if Harper finds some way to repair the damage his flip flops have caused (income trusts, equalization, etc), he could get a majority. However, now that everyone sees he is no different from the Libs (doing what's best for his party AKA Quebec votes, not necessarily for the country), he could also lose some ground. He will definitely lose votes in the Maritimes and even Saskatchewan, although I don't see it costing him too many seats there.

I think odds are he'll get another minority government.

not here in sask...at very best ralph goodale could keep his seat..thats as good as it'll ever get for the liberals..are you forgetting just how much of a dick-flop dion is??..now will the ndp make any gains?..good question for the simple reason we here are totally ballistic at our provincial ndp and they are going down BIG TIME come next election..if the federal ndp comes up with some personable candidates...maybe..and yes you are right about harper kissing quebec ass...quebec runs canada..they may not put in many candidates that form the governing party but ALL parties running federally always try to put them 1st even knowing they will gain very few seats..now that is serious ass-kissing

Prime Minister Shephane Dion, Deputy Prime Minister Jack Layton...

I can almost hear a few heads exploding at the thought. :)

It would take a lot of concessions from the Liberals to swing that.

Either Conservative or Liberal Minority. It's just a matter of who does what during election time.
