ziggy ziggy:
That's who the mercenery relative fought for that gave me my name. [huh]

Holy shite! I might be related to Nazi's! 8O

I told my bud from New Brunswick the story of the name change(he's visiting me) and he told me a story. When his grandfather arrived the immigration officials asked him his name,it was "Kadir" and he didnt want to tell them that name because it was an Islamic name and he was from Turkey. So he gets off the boat and spys a sign,it says candy and point's to the shop selling the candy,he takes the name and drops the y at the end and adds an "o" therefore becoming "Cando" and that's been the family name ever since,he also lived in fear all his life of getting sent back to Turkey. He maintained his silence about life in Turkey untill his death and then his sister wrote a long letter in some arabic language explaining things in Turkey but because that language and part of the religion was sent to seclusion no-one can decipher it as it's a lost language that even the universities can figure out. Anyways,I'm going to talk him into getting the letter and maybe some of you can figure it out if I post it.

And my bud is blonde hair and blue eyed. Maybe he's a Nazi.

Sorry to quote something from way back in this thread, but I have eyes, and I didn't see it mentioned in the first 10 pages.
Tricks Tricks:
A: I posted the oshawa candidate from the NDP website. I
think they know who they have put there

Correction: You did not, in fact, post the candidate from the Oshawa riding. Instead, you posted the candidate from the Whitby-Oshawa riding. The Oshawa riding's candidate is in fact, Sid Ryan. Anyone who lives in the area -- or has been to it once during an election, and is interested in politics -- will know that there are multiple ridings that exist within Oshawa city limits. Four, I believe, unless it was changed the last time they went around with the magic marker.

How did I find that URL? I went to the NDP website, clicked on Candidates, and paged through their list until I saw:
$1:
Oshawa
Your candidate: Sid Ryan

Complicated stuff, I know.
