lily lily:
Pick one.

Let's see:
I'm right about the history of Ukrainian Germans and Ziggy has also corrected you.
I'm right that it's plausible the liberal campaign did this to themselves to discredit their opponent as such has happened before.
And I'm also right that not everyone has all the facts yet.
So where have you been wrong?
Lily Lily:
He's suggesting that Ukrainian Canadians could easily have ties to the Nazis.
No, I did not. I said no such thing about Ukrainian-Canadians other than that they may well be descendant from people who either were Nazi Party members or who served in the Wehrmacht or the SS.
Lily Lily:
Just because someone is of Ukrainian heritage doesn't mean they have Nazi connections.
Again you infer that I said this when I did not. Not all Ukrainians allied with the Nazis. For that matter, not all Germans did, either.
Lily Lily:
How can you seriously excuse defacing someone's signs with swastikas by pointing out that he's 3rd generation Ukrainian?
I never excused the act of vandalism but I did question the motivation as motivation is the heart of a hate crime. Painting the swastika may not be construed as a hate crime in certain circumstances - if the purpose was not to intimidate him with the swastika but to smear him with it then your courts may not call that a hate crime.
Lily Lily:
No more so than it bothers you that Bart blames it on the guy's heritage.
Wrong again.
Lily Lily:
Does what Bart had to say about Ukrainians and their apparent links to Germans/Nazis bother you?
Does it bother you that what I stated is an indisputable historical fact?
Or have you never heard of John Demjanjuk?
Uhm, and what was with telling Ziggy his name isn't German after he said it was? I hope it's okay with you that my name is Irish, although the same name in the same spelling is also popular in Scandinavia and with European Jews. (No, I'm not a Norwegian Jew!

)
And I saw your apology after I had posted some responses.
