Curtman Curtman:
I loved the "What corporate tax cuts?" response from Harper.

Corporate tax cuts needed: Harper
$1:
Prime Minister Stephen Harper is dismissing demands from opposition parties to cancel planned corporate tax cuts ahead of his government's tabling of the budget.

You can't tax yourself into prosperity.

Funny that Layton, Ignatieff and Duceppe all look at the person they are talking to while Harper looks at the camera when responding. I don't know if it's a good plan.

Fortunately Duceppe is for the most part looking at Harper with his mouth open.

Leadership material oh yes...

On a radio station of Quebec City, Duceppe has a new nickname: Gros Yeux (Big Eyes)

Let Lemmy tell you about the laffer curve. It says if you start at 0 or end at 100 per cent, the result is 0.

To pretend there are no corporate tax cuts though is just funny.

I've studied in economy. I know what the Laffer curve is.
I really don't understand your second sentence. Where did I said there were no corporate tax cuts ?

Harper did. That was his answer, there are no tax cuts.

I liked how Duceppe tried to corner Layton into throwing his support behind bill 101 in Québec.

Watching Layton squirm his way out of that one was priceless.

Gunnair Gunnair:
Hate to say it, but Iggy ain't looking bad.

I thought he did quite good tonight, as did Harper.

For me, the most memorable quote was, "This isn't bickering Mr. Harper, this is democracy. I ask a question and then you answer it."

I was impressed by how well Harper kept his temper in check, because there was a couple of times when you could see he was getting pissed off and it looked like he wanted to reach over and slap Layton (can't say as I blame him)!

I only caught the last third of the debate...it was pretty yawntiffic....except for the little shot at Layton and the NDP never lowering taxes.
