A CHANCE TO BE A NEUTRAL ARMY CONTRY !!!!!!! LIKE SWEDEN AND OTHER EUROPE COUNTRY

Man, and the "Superior French" argument are SO SHITTTY MANNNNNNNNN

Quebecers "Pure LAINE" ARE VOTING NO !!!!!!!! THEY HAVE NO SELF RESPECT AT FN ALL MAN.

I'm a Black Quebecer man and seeing White French People loving Canada.... Is the most disgusting think i seeen in my life.....

Man... I RATHER BE AMERICAN THEN CANADIAN... CANADIANS ARE SUB-AMERCIAN MAN.... OPEN YOUR FN EYE.....

Damn. And your TIRES Shit....

Canadians are inferior to Americans eh? I see.

Well, why don't you try to experiment with the US? Good luck on keeping your customs, what the US fed says, goes. Good luck with separatist bullshit there too, it's a one way ticket. Just ask the former Confederate States.

On a serious note, the whole transfer payment system should be streamlined to be far to all provinces. Quebec doesn't need 8 billion given to them annually. Ontario is in worse economic shape than Quebec it doesn't receive shit!
And I don't suppose Albertans enjoy being robbed.

To be fair, there is alot of cultural autonomy in the US. I mean you see a bunch of Texans with the Confederate flag and the federal government isn't gonna crack down on them.

True. But they can't separate. And there's no transfer payments. Theres rich states and poor states. Different states have very different standards of living.

The US federal government isn't scared of separatists, and it certainly isn't afraid to ruffle state feathers. It's a far cry from Canadian Federal mantra.

I'm Albertan. I haven't personally heard anyone seriously talking about separation. It's tongue-in-cheek crap. As for Quebec, I don't believe the majority of their population in inclined to jump ship either.

Like the US has much to offer anyone right now. It's a moot discussion.

That's right, the majority of Quebecers are not separatists and that should be made clear.

Not all Quebecers voted for the Bloc to start but instead voted for Federalist political parties.

Although, I can understand some of the bitterness from the ROC to Quebec, although, I do not agree and there should be no need for all the Quebec bashing. Mostly from the coalition with the Bloc.

Truly, I'm astonished as to how stupid some Canadians can be with regards to this whole coalition affair and how vocal they are with their stupidity.

Harper has perhaps cost the conservatives any chance of gaining additional seats in Quebec. At least with him at the helm of the Tories.

A resignation is in order.

There are other threads in which these posts could be more relevant. But since you are on this matter, I consider a coalition a bit traitorous at this point. There needs to be stability in the Govt right now, and a coalition is not the way to accomplish that.

And since this thread is more or less about Quebec bashing, it would be best to point out that the CPC did get some votes in the province of Quebec.

They got votes in Quebec before Harper's speech.

The coalition is silly in my opinion but Harper was ill advised to play politics at a time like this.

If Harper cared about Canada and a stable government, then playing with the opposition and trying to bankrupt them is the last thing he would try to legislate.

Tough luck for him.

CPC got votes in Quebec. Time will tell if they will retain them.

My message to Quebec is this:

"Don't let Harper influence you to want to separate from Canada - he will be gone soon and Canada will still be here...besides, in the 1980s Mulroney was the Prime Minister and EVERYONE wanted to leave Canada."

So much for assumption once more.

Most people figure that the majority of Quebecers vote Bloc. That is not quite accurate. I know, I know that I have already posted it, but still here are the results from the last Federal election within Quebec

This shows that most Quebecers voted for a Federalist party. Also, there are gonna be lots of Bloc voters turned off about a coalition with Dion. Also, some Federal Liberal Quebecers could not all agree with their party cooperating with the Bloc. So that leaves Conservatives.

Cretien didn't hurt Canada. Cretien sat back and did nothing...he let the country heal from the Mulroney era. So, I think you are a little confused there...more Mulroney would have meant more taxes and THEN there would have been no Canada. The economy and the country pretty much took care of itself. Things were much better then than they are now.

About now is where you answer with something witty like "stop your crying".

Your problem is that when the Conservatives dig a hole & a bunch of people fall in the hole and break their legs, the Conservatives get ousted so you say "there was going to be a foundation put in there". You then proceed to get angry when the Liberals fill the hole back in and the NDP want compensation for the people who have had their legs broken. Meanwhile the Conservatives have one of their private documents leaked that details their plans for digging holes everywhere.
