Of course he does. As a founding member who left the CPC to become part of this movement, I can tell you that the forthcoming election will be interesting. No one is giving the PPC a chance, and that will play into our advantage.
No one gave new parties in New Brunswick and Quebec a chance in their last provincial elections, and they ended up coming to power and forming governments. People are tired of all the same old part rhetoric, and want something different.
Come October, the people will speak. Until then, we wait.

In a primitive FPTP system like ours, I suspect all he’ll do, at most, is take some votes from the Conservatives and give those seats to the Libs or NDP.

BeaverFever BeaverFever: This is a spam thread. Technically, no it isn't. It's a political thread, they aren't hawking any product or service. But I did remove the survey link for safety. Just an 'also ran'.

ewall87 ewall87: The PPC message seems to resonate with many voters, despite the mainstream media narrative - but is that enough? Perhaps, you like the message but don't believe the PPC has a chance. Or, maybe you outright dislike them. Whats your opinion?
POLL: Does Maxime Bernier's PPC stand a chance?: *Mode Edit* They might have some chance to make some kind of impact if Maxime Bernier weren't the most incompetent buffoon in Ottawa. When Harper was in charge, Bernier's only significant accomplishments in Ottawa were getting fired from Cabinet for leaving confidential documents at his biker girlfriend's house, getting busted for driving with a suspended licence. Now, when the "People's" Party isn't making the news for all the wrong reasons, such as the mass resignations of riding boards, Bernier is making himself look like a fool trying and failing to explain his problems with multiculturalism, and getting ripped by everyone from Stephen Harper to Doug Ford, the PPC is showing itself to be an organizational dumpster fire, and founding party members who believed in Bernier's libertarianism are now resigning because they think the kooks and crazies are taking over the party, is it any wonder that a lot of people are writing off Bernier and his party? I mentioned before how I had Justin Trudeau pegged long before most other people did. Similarly, I always thought Bernier was a numbskull, and again I'm reminded of how sometimes I hate being right.

You don’t leave your party in a huff and start another one when you lose a leadership contest. By doing that Bernier showed he lacked the temperament for high office. His biker girlfriend Couillard did have a nice pair, though. I would have taken her call. Still would. C'est un méchant pétard.

$1: A Saskatchewan People's Party of Canada (PPC) candidate is defending comments in support of the use of "hate speech" he made recently on social media.
Some groups say they fear the comments could incite violence.
"Our country could use more hate speech, more offensive comments, more 'micro-aggressions', more violation of safe spaces with words and more critical thinking," Cody Payant wrote on his Facebook page and Twitter account on July 16.
"Words are not violence and when we don't have them to debate and articulate our thoughts when communicating, then all we have left is guns," he added. People's Party of Canada candidate in Sask. slammed over call for more 'hate speech'Maxime Bernier: Not even once.

I mean, other than the obvious lying, and cozying up to the alt-right. This is slander promoted by Warren Kinsella's Daisy Group. Well paid for by the CPC apparently. AT least that's the facts so far. Maxime Bernier is not cozying up to anyone except your average Canadian citizen. He's in this for ALL of Canada.
