Now the Gov's a psycho and Merle is starting to act like a human being which leads me to believe the Guv gets it when his little paradise is overrun by the smarter variety of undead and Merle becomes a valued member of the group.

I think Carol is alive at least till next episode and I am hoping even with all the heartbreak and baby drama that will be going on that Daryl will think to go rescue her.

I also would enjoy seeing Michonne kick some serious ass since she is so serious.

Guess you never read the graphic novel...in it he chops off Rick's hand and kills several of the survivors holed up in the prison when he storms it with his stash of military vehicles and weapons.

However, the TV show has diverted in parts from the graphic novel, so that may or may not happen now (at least one part can't happen after this episode anyways).

Nope. I won't until the TV series is done. Fear that reading the novel may spoil some aspects of the show for me.

Lots of the show is identical to the graphic novel (the scene with Rick trapped inside the tank), but things like the group stopping at the CDC are not. Neither was this week's episode, nor a variety of other details (like who meets the Governor first).

But you should definitely read it, it's pretty good, despite (or because of depending on your POV) the differences.

Either way I think Daryl is gonna end up in charge for awhile while Rick does some R and R in the pysych ward of the Prison.
