So i hadn't seen this movie in yeeeeeears, probably since it came out, I had totaly forgot what happens. But i saw a torrent for it the other day so i snagged it. I have been wanting to watch it again because i remember it being good and now that i knew it was made by Mike Moore i wanted to see it again.

This movie is awsome! and sooo funny. Watched it with my girlfriend who is half american and her family has watched it several times. We lol, the over the top sterotypes are great. But what i found shocking is how i noticed the Moorness now. And how he touches on in this movie so many of the things that have and are happening on the world today.

If you havn't seen this movie, or its been a long time since you have, I recomend renting or downloading it and watching it again.

Geesh! Promoting downloading of movies...thats bad.

I have on my comp right now:
I Robot
Napoleon Dynamite
Blow
Top Gun
Like 3 others, I don't know. I don't know what I am going to do in like 15 days. I am moving and will only have 56Kb/s Internet. I will still try and be on the site all the time, but it will be rough. Sorry, if I have times where I don't show for a while.

I agree, that movie was awesome. I haven't seen it in a couple of years either, but I remember one of my favourite parts when they plan to go to Canada to litter. Classic...

The best part of that movie was when John Candys' character starts the brawl in the hockey arena when hes says "This beer sucks"....then when the cop is pulling him off to jail he says" all I said was this beer sucks!" Then the cop punches him and another brawl starts....funny funny movie...funny guy too

that's it! thanks Prarrieboy, i couldn't remember.
my favourite part of Canadian Bacon was the cops pulled over John Canady and company and asked them if they sawe anthing worng with the graff on the side of their truck (it was all Canada Sucks! and such): there was a problem: it needed to be written in french too! gotta love bilingualism!

lol randomly wathed this movie again tonight. I think my favorite scene is with dan akroyd. About the Canadian language laws, with not having french on the site of the truck.

This movie was extremely funny. I also laughed at Dan Akroyd's part where he made John translate that graffitti on the side of his truck about Canada into French.

"Wine-drinkers... pea soup-eaters........FRENCH-CANADIANS!".
- Dan Akroyd

Can you believe that that movie wasn't even going to be released until John Candy passed away? I wonder what other "should have been classics" have gone unnoticed locked in drawers of big production companies... if only Canada was a viable market, then we'd have more greats like Canadian Bacon

"if only Canada was a viable market, then we'd have more greats like Canadian Bacon"

We are working on it lol. there has been a slow but steady increase of Canadian programming on Television. Movies not so much, but they are more expensive and a larger risk. Once television is playing more Canadian shows (good ones), films will be easier because the public will be easier to except that Candian entertainment is just as good as American (despite the budget).

if you notice Canadian shows are becoming more promninent and noticed. Ie: Corner Gas, odd job jack and.....ewww Canadian Idol lol

Ever so slowly we are getting better, because Budget doesnt equil quality.
