Some of the sign wearers were standing on the street corners where I work in Ottawa. I was able to get a picture of one of them. If I get a chance later tonight I'll post it here.

Some of those billboards were paid for by a professional engineer. Would you like to drive over a bridge designed by a guy with this sort of belief system? How can he have a job that requires such rational thinking on the one hand, and believe this crap on the other? Ain't compartmentalization grand?

Yep, never in the history of the world has an atheist with a degree said or done something irrational.

Besides, these people are wrong anyway. The world is not gonna end in 2 weeks. I know this because God told me personally the world will end sometime in 2050

That to me is a sign there is a God, and he wants us all to use bicycles. I'm all for it, already belong to that church.

Are you projecting a bit there andy? If you give your two weeks notice to an employer, do you then spend the next 2 weeks fucking the dog and doing a half-assed job?

Not really PP9, if I truly believe the world will end in 5 years, maybe I'll design bridges that have a shelf life of 7 years. Why spend the time, effort and money to make it last longer?

Me, I'd get as many credit cards as possible, sell everything I have, stop paying my debts, eat anything I want and stop exercising (fuck good health... don't need it). Don't need condoms either... who care about Aids.

If I thought the world was going to end in two weeks, I would give no notice, just walk off and you know, try fill that bucket list as best I could. (Don't tell me you would still salve away?) Or meditate 24/7 frantically trying to find enlightenment before it all ends and I don't get the chance.

'course maybe this guy is just a prankster, and he wants to be able to laugh at all the fools that did quit their jobs and gave away all their possessions on May 22.
