I was just about to say, Unicornlord, that a bear abusing alchol with a history of anti-social behaviour chasing women on bikes would be disconcerting in the least.

Poor lady, we all have that instinct to run. I actually was speaking with my mother the other day, and she did something similar when a grouse made a bear-like sound -- took off like a shot. She's a seasoned outdoorswoman, so it shows that there's a chance everyone can slip up when facing a bear.
EDIT: Bodah, I've heard from relatives in Ontario that a lot of bears are moving a lot farther south than usual as of late -- there was another bear sighted in London, Ontario, I think that was in the article mentioning this migration, but they didn't accredit it to rising bear populations.
