Excellent and well-planned out hit job on Wernick. Wilson-Raybould has shown that there is nothing she won't do to expose the lies - including the questionable clandistine taping of a phone conversation.

Wernick is just collateral damage in the Palace Coup.

But, here's a thought. When you're part of the Star Chamber you don't normally make tapes unless you intend to discredit or expose someone.

If she had these supposed ethics and scruples all along she would have chosen NOT participate in the Admiral Norman round table since by all accounts it was very similar to the SNC Lavalin one which violated the laws with regard to subverting justice,

But, for some reason she willingly did participate in that round table without taping the conversations and then when asked by the Admirals lawyers has refused to give any of the evidence she is in possession of and used the solicitor client privilege law to avoid doing what she's being applauded for now.

I'm not supporting Trudeau on this - I'm pointing out this shit is normal politics.

The recording and notes were released by the JC, not JWR herself.

JWR, to the greater population in Canada, is likely one of the only ones left with integrity.

What's funny is to hear Liberal and NDP faithful shit all over JWR because they know their partie(s) are going to take a shit-kicking in October and this is a tactic they seem to feel is working. One doesn't have to look far beyond any recent poll to figure out that this tactic has been a miserable failure.

If JWR wanted to act 'holier-than-thou' she could have released this recording and everything else 3-6 months ago...or when she was demoted....or when she resigned. Instead, she provided the information via the proper channels....and she's being shit on for doing so.

Or having taped it long before her appearance at the Justice committee, she could have released it then. So why did she hold it back?

The Liberals do, at least, have influence with the media so if they want to blacken somebody's name they can do it. And who knows? Their slurs filtered into media stories that speak against Raybould could have some truth to them. They might even be mostly true.

Doesn't matter.

It still comes down to this. Did the Libs under Justin Trudeau pressure a Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada to adjust the law to better suit a corporation they were playing the corporatist game with?

I would like anyone who has bought into what is becoming the "Jody bad" media speil on this to answer that question.
