Strutz; Thanks. What a reasoned, balance and thought-out reasoning
process.
Best reasoning for being part of a forum. But, more so, for living ones life.

Your English is just fine.
Here in the USA we have dozens of ways of speaking our common language.
Below is a video of Jeff Foxworthy. Great example of a southern. His accent is common to Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.
Greeting from Ohio river Valley ta Ya'lll. We are in Southern Indiana.
Language differences might make an interesting topic for the forum?

Thank you angler57, how nice of you to say. :)

No argument there. There's certainly plenty of entertainment around here, and it generally comes in all shapes and sizes.

In addition to the a-fore mentioned, it's interesting to see the different perspectives on subjects from different members, and it's also interesting to hear them from other member's first hand accounts. Several times now, I've learned a lot about a subject because someone has experienced it first hand and offers a different view/additional information that isn't always available through the usual information highways.

Well deserved for sure Strutz. Sounds as if, like myself you have one persona and
stick with it.
My wife scolds me when we travel. The Ya'lll, she says sounds to southern. She never mentions it here where many say Ya'lll. It's who we are.
Someone said earlier that a Forum allows people to create a different persona.

Am sure that many people on forums are more aggressive than in normal day to day interaction.
Am convinced the format becomes a mask or shield for some. Same as when people get behind the wheel of a car. Or, in jobs of mid-management levels.
They fail to see the difference between being a boss and being a leader.Or just lack to smarts and talent to lead.
Learned long ago that being yourself can be a mine field. But, it adds spice to life.

I like to visit forums around the world.Governments like to speak with a unified voice,as though they represent all thier people. That is hardly the case.Sometimes they represent a majority of thier people, ofton times they don't.Same with the media.Every media outlet has an owner with a particular viewpoint.Left, center, right,it is dependant on the person writing the checks.Boston has two major daily newspapers, the herald and the globe. If you were to read both on any particular day,you would not think they were published in the same city. Its like listening to VOA and PRAVDA.Forums are cool as they let the ordinary people of the world communicate with each other.I don't have to accept the official government version.I can speak with the average joe on the street if you will.I can visit sites around the world and feel the pulse of a nation.Totalarian governments have much to fear from the internet. The more the people of the world communicate the less we need government. The more international forums a person visits, the better thier understanding of the world.
