I can't believe the Walker/Warnock race is even tight. That just stumps me.

What are people really looking for in the people that represent them? Celebrity, or quality?

Neither. An (R) after a persons name. That’s the only thing that matters. Epstein could have run as a Republican and not one voter would have hesitated voting for him.

Epstien and Madoff should have run, then the wouldn't have any legal trouble. At least, if this election is any indication.

You might want to look into a mirror when asking that question. You elected a famous trust fund kid who had absolutely zero qualifications to be elected as a dog catcher (let alone higher office) to run your country. Then after all those allegations of groping (aka felonious sexual assault), corruption, and numerous photos of him wearing black face (and his own admission that he can't recall the exact number of times that he wore black face ) you RE-ELECTED the piece of shit to continue running your country!!! So it certainly looks the plurality of Canadians choose celebrity over quality.

Why are you always blaming me for that, when I have written many times here that I will NEVER vote for anyone named 'Trudeau'?

And he has never been accused of 'groping', or sexual assault.

And he certainly has never run on a platform of 'no abortions ever', after paying for several himself.

Besides, our famous trust fund kid (who I didn't vote for either) isn't a complete moron.

Canadians mostly didn't vote for Trudeau out of some sort of fan love for a celebrity. They were voting mostly against the dreck the Conservatives suddenly turned into after Stephen Harper left. And voting that way got fully justified later during COVID. For any mistakes made or heavy-handedness the Libs had done with COVID pretty much every single one of us knows one thing for sure - if the Tories under Scheer or O'Toole had been the government then the death toll would have been about five times higher than it is today. A Conservative federal government in Canada would have clowned around with COVID the same way Jason Kenney's Alberta did, the same way Boris Johnson's Britain did, and the same way Donald Trump's United States did. In all three places, and in other conservative-ruled places like Texas, Florida, or Brazil, more people died because their government half-assed it and played stupid games.

You didn't see the same thing happen in places where centrists or liberals ran the governments. It was something that didn't need to happen that was peculiar to conservative/rightist rule only. And for that I hope the entire damn lot of them go straight to hell for putting their disgusting "freedumb" policies & wretched theories ahead of actual lives.

And he was running against complete morons, so he was going to win. Hence my wonder at why Georgia is likely going to a run off in December. [huh]
