There is a very long history of Christian churches being turned into mosques, permanently. In fact some of the biggest mosques on the planet fall into that category, such as the Hagia Sophia. In a world where Christians are being persecuted and executed for their beliefs specifically by Muslims, as we type this, I can understand why the woman is upset.

When I see a Christen service being performed in a mosque, I may change my mind. I know full well that it will NEVER happen.

The leader of the Church of England is Jesus. It's not like the heretical Catholic Church which has a mere ordinary person as its leader.

As for Lord Harries of Pentregarth, he's just a raging Politically Correct Lefty who, like all raging Politically Correct Lefties, loves to pander to no-one but the Muslims, even if it means reading the Koran during a Church of England service. There should be no reading of the Koran during a Church of England service and there'll be protests if it happens.

As for the Church of England, my great church's General Synod has, unfortunately, like so much else in today's Western world, been taken over by a bunch of PC, hand-wringing, sandal-wearing, mung-bean-eating, wet lettuce Guardianistas who wouldn't look out of place at a LibDem conference who throw all of the church's great values and traditions into the fire in order to worship at the altar of "diversity" and "political correctness".
