The government of Hugo Chávez holds about $300 million in debt instruments that Lehman had agreed to cash, according to three analysts who calculated the holdings separately. With Lehman in trouble, Venezuela will have a hard time selling the debt.

Chavez, alpha male chimp in a uniform.
I'm sure Fidel Castro would be revelling in the Lehman
failure too, if he hadn't already been to the taxidermist.

Well, it is ironic that analysts for a company that collapsed would comment about the credit worthiness of a country.

However, Hugh has been running a relatively larger deficit than the US, and this is with oil at $100. If oil does continue its descent, Hugh will be fracked.

I'm sure all of Hugo's fellow Venezuelans are having a big chuckle over this as they sit in front of their TVs eating.......wait a second, they won't see this because they are all standing in long lines waiting for the chance to buy a few scraps of food. If oil goes in the crapper, their lives will become that much worse, and then the mad midget may have a real revolution on his hands.

With the American Empire crumbling and their inevitable withdrawal from Iraq, oil prices will soar unless the OPEC countries race to produce more oil.

With the U.S. economy the way it is now, with a jump in the price of oil.. the U.S. economy would be R.I.P.

If Hugo really wanted to fuck the U.S. so badly, reather than just shooting off his mouth.. just cut off oil imports.

Hugh can't. He's spending every dollar of oil revenue and more to fund his "Bolivaran revolution." In fact, he's running a larger deficit relative to GDP than America.

lol

So what’s funnier, Hugo with $300 million he has to hang onto for a bit of the 700BILLIONDOLLARS the US is spending to bail out these fat cats?

You guys are fucking hilarious, it’s like you're being attacked by swarm after swarm of killer bees and yet you still find time to complain about the ants.

[B-o] go Hugo!

We've (Canadians and American's) have been building our own prison and some of you laugh at Hugo Chavez?

...we are heading straight into an economic meltdown and many are laughing as if the ship will right itself...

...when it happens, and it is going to happen, these will be the same people who cripple under the suffering first...

Why include Canada in that equation, I don't think our economy is as vulnerable as the United States economy..

I think what is happen south of the border is a wake up call to Canadians to get our shit in order.. screw the pro-Corporate governments that allow for these kind of loop holes.. (Conservatives)

It's sorta funny, the economy took a dive and so did the U.S. elections. Interest sorta died as everyone is trying to size up their personal rectal damage each U.S. citizen just endured from Uncle Sam.

0:
File comment: Uncle Sam's piggy bank is empty... print more money, dollar devaluation so the Amero looks good LOL

I think our economy is way too tied to the US economy, tritium. The parts that aren't are tied to economies that are tied to the US economy.

The whole free trade/globalization thing was a huge shell game. The con men that ran it are grabbing their folding table and making a run for it before the crowd figures out they've been scammed and becomes an angry mob.

Hope you guys know how to grow your food, because pickings are about to get mighty slim.

DarkBeaver DarkBeaver:
Mel Hurtig and many others have prooved this figure false, apparently it's always quoted to reinforce our dependent relationship with uncle sam that we never really needed. What do they make that we need? Nothing absolutely nothing as a matter of fact they don't even make stuff that they need, so what is the state of our trade with the USA now anyway? They don't produce anything and they have no money left, we should do the smart business thing and dump them before we loose the water and our spare change.

This is from another forum... it's very true Reverend Blair.
