WAKKA WAKKA!

*reads report*

"The study aimed to identify the city that Canadians considered the "nicest," which researchers graded based on aesthetics and physical beauty rather than livability factors."

^ Well wtf kind of study is that then?

oOoooo... it's purdy.... isn't that a bit subjective, and what exactly does that really tell us?

Now I'm sure it's pretty and all, when it's not raining or foggy..... but that doesn't really do, tell or prove much of anything and thus, isn't that a big waste of time & money to conduct such a poll?

Which one was the least nicest?

Added:

I just took a look at their web site:
http://www.acs-aec.ca/en/

And what's the first thing I see?

'Celine Dion' effect can fuel patriotism: Poll
http://www.windsorstar.com/life/Learnin ... story.html

The Celine Dion Effect?

I hope this site/company doesn't get federal funding, if so, I hope Harper gives them the axe like they did with the arts..... my jeez.

By the way, Winnipeg was at the bottom of the above poll.

Except when she performs entirely in French to an English speaking audience.

I suppose it's pretty, but then so is Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Quebec City, etc. Every city has its charms...

I definitely agree with one thing the article said - Vancouver drivers aren't courteous.

When I was there in 2009, I was shocked by what a bunch of jackasses they are when they are behind the wheel.

Probably before the news of the Jets coming back.
They must have jumped at least 2 spots now.

No doubt. I was wondering why they always rant about Alberta drivers when their ones are clearly so much worse. Never figured out the part the last time I was in BC when I was still getting tailgated by so many of their maniacs when I was doing at least 20 kph over the limit myself most of the time on the highways. 8O

Vancouver is 100 times the city that pembroke and petawawa are combined. Who cares about riots once every 20 years? Good on vancover! This place is a malicious, shit-ridden genetic and literally physical cesspool. Fuck do I ever miss home.

Or as long as it's not a Gun N' Roses concert (early 2000's), a sea festival (early 80's) or a Grey Cup game (late 60's). And we can't forget excessive drinking (early 1940's).

Did you seriously compare Pembroke and Petawawa with a major City? 8O

This has been posted before, but it's part of the reason why Winnipeg scores so low...that and the native gangs, car theft and having your stereo/possesions stolen from your vehicle. I do believe Trevor was given a traditional Winnipeg Welcome when he was doing his cross Canada tour.

In actuality 5% of the population located in about 10% of the city are responsible for the overwhelming crime in Winnipeg. The rest of the city is great...well folks in Charleswood and Wolsley are ......well they just are. If people don't like the facts being expressed, well too bad not facing up to the problem will only let it fester and get worse. Elm wood is a good example of this. The neighbourhood has gone to hell in a handbasket...from a working class neighbourhood to a joke.

Vancouver is nice to look at but most people aren't all that friendly and even the ones that are tend to the superficial-I find there are a lot of closed angry people here.
